20kw Canopy Silent Diesel Generator for Industrial Use

Q:A diesel-powered generator with a cost of $145,000 and estimated residual value of $7,000 is expected to have a useful operating life of 75,000 hours. During July, the generator was operated 150 hours. Determine the depreciation for the month.
145,000 - 7000 132,000 / 75000 1.76 per hour July 150 hours x 1.76 per hour rate $264 Keep in mind I rounded the $1.76 but if you follow this procedure it will get you where you want to be. I hope this helps and wish you all the best. good luck
Q:A) what are the pros cons of each system?B)Also what are the operational loss in each case?
Depends where your living need lots of water for hydroGov has regulation for blocking riversSteam takes a lot of fuel to heat the waterDiesel is expense but just have delivered install start up and power how much power are you needing??
Q:I have a 1992 chevy 250 with a 6.5 turbo diesel, I have built a hydrogen generator for it that produces 2lt./min. but do not know how to hook it to the truck or where before or after the turbo.
You should hook it up before the turbo. After the turbo is pressurized which will make it hard to feed the gas in.
Q:Aside from the fact that they just had a massive natural disaster and there resources are stretched to say the least, what is main reason they cant get the reactor under control? From what I've heard it's not receiving enough power to maintain cooling system so it can maintain controlled fission. In my limited understanding it seems the plant survived relatively unscathed other than there diesel generators being flooded/destroyed. The plant is currently on battery backup's which I assume are relatively large and cant just be switched out to maintain the cooling system. Is it just an issue of supplying enough power for the cooling system? Couldn't they park the the USS Ronald Reagan off shore there and borrow some power until stabilized, considering you could power a sizable city off its reactor?
You could, but that's unnessecary at this point. The batteries supply enough power to the facility for them to shut down the reactor if they have to, so as long as they still have their kill switch there's no need for panic just yet.
Q:1 want know exactly defrences between heavy duty and continuous diesel generator sets? for examle for 1250 kva diesel generator, the defrences between their speeds and injection power of 2 kind of diesel generator. heavy and continuous duty.thanks
you could adjust the frequency to 50HZ with the aid of working the generator at a velocity decrease than 1800rpm., it incredibly is 1500 rpm. At this velocity verify the terminal voltage. The voltage could nicely be adjusted to 380 volts applying the potentiometer adjustment on the generator panel. The 220 volts could nicely be gained with the aid of applying a parallel connection assuming that the generator is wye related. incredibly, the voltage of 380 volts to independent is 219.39 volts, that's approximately 220 volts. subsequently, you won't could desire to reconnect the generator terminals. the adaptation in P.F. won't count lots.
Q:i have a plan to supply electric power supply to a colony of around 250 houses each have a load of approximately : 3 x1.5 ton air conditioners and all the other stuff of household use. voltage required is 400v 3 phase or 240 volt single phase. my question is if some one can please calculate the requirement of load for the above requirement and what size of generator is required for this load. thanks
With that large a system, you should get a quote from professionals. You need better numbers on power usage, both average and peak. And the pros can help with that. See if you can get a sample of 10 electric power bills and use that as an average to calculate the average power for all 250. Peak is difficult. They each have 4.5 ton worth AC? must be a hot climate. You can use 1.2 kW per ton, so that is 5.4 kW per house or 1.4 MW total just for the ACs Is there electric stoves, hot water, etc? that could double the above number. So we are up to perhaps 3 MW already. At that level, you probably need a higher voltage system, perhaps a 6 kV distribution system. That costs money, plus all the transformers, one per 2-4 house, plus all the underground digging. Assuming you want this underground, not on poles. Again, contact a company that does this, such as Siemens, Bosch, GE, they would be happy to give you a good quote. edit: when you look at the ratio of peak power to average power, you will see a large number, as high as 10. that means you could require a (eg) 3 MW generator although the average power is only 0.3 MW. That means the efficiency is low and the costa are high. That is why large power distribution systems are much better, as the peaks are not nearly as high, and also power companies have special units that are usually offline and come online to handle the peaks.
Q:I want to calculate the Genset load of following 3 phase, 50 C/s, 400/ 440 volts electric motors coupled with Water pumps.60 HP x 4 Nos. + 100 HP x 3 Nos. + 225 HP x 3 Nos.What is the method for calculating the safest load for all these motors to run simultaneously.
You are after capacity of the generator not load. You add up all the power required: 240 HP + 300 HP + 675 HP 1215 HP 1 HP 746 W Power required 906.39 kW You take this figure in consideration to choose your set allowing for efficiency and power factor.
Q:I would like to try a browns gas generator on a 3 cylinder Diesel engine to compare efficiency and save money and not add a turbo to the unit. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience in this. I am also considering a natural gas flow to the intake.
Had the previous responder actually read from his Wikipedia reference he would have proven himself incorrect
Q:HelloI am doing a question on my homework and im being asked to determine how long a tank of gas on a diesel generator would last a family if one tank produced 20kW of electricity. This family uses 2.052kWh of electricity every day. The problem i have run into is that i don't know how to determine how long tha tank can last with only those values, i have a feeling im missing something very obvious here. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Can you post the actual question as written? You have to be able to somehow get a kWh value out of the diesel generator. Otherwise, the answer to the question is 0 days. You can't put gas into a diesel generator and expect it to do anything.
