its not the tape you need to worry about mateits the pen / markerIm guessing you want to be able to remove the labels in the future or at least have the option toGet your self some masking tape or magic tape (inivsible) if you have easy to tear surfaces, normal tape can leave a sticky residueSecondly the marker needs to be permanet and possibly waterproof depending where you are going to use it you can wirte on any tape, it just depends on the marker, and if you do intend to take the labels off in the future be careful, like i said you dont want a sticky dirty mark left on the surface.
