Introduction:
Tower crane is used to lift, lower and horizontally move materials in construction and other industry. It has large lifting capacity and lifting height, wide moving range, and can rotate. It basically consists of base foundation, mast, slewing unit, working jib, counter jib, counterweight, hook, and operating cabin.

- Q: Hello,I live in the St. Louis area of Missouri and during the summer, Crane Flies (I call them Mosquito Eaters) fly around all the time at night. I believe that it is normal for this type of bug to be nocturnal, but lately, I've seen them flying around, jumping around, and getting in the house DURING THE DAYTIME!! - Because You are seeing a different pattern than in years before I am thinking that you might be invaded by the invasive Crane Fly species 2 that I know of. If you have them or think that you do then please report them to the local State University for identification PLEASE. The two species are these Tipula paludosa and Tipula deracea. Latin at 11:00 p.m. not my best, sorry. - Hello, 1. Modularity: You can build ships (larger ships) in modular sections and have the crane lift these modular sections and put them into place for final assembly. This is one major advantage that was not available back in the day

- The crane and the truck are one and the same vehicle, so I can't see why a claim on fully comp. wouldn't be valid. If this is not the case, then the crane IS the cargo, so surely the claim would go to the insurer of the crane, and not the lorry.

- Q: i have 5 tower cranes outside my window at different construction sites and they all position their cranes the same direction at the end of the day. is there a reason for this.
- I can think of a few reasons. The first 2 are safety related, the 3rd is work-efficiency related. 1. To minimize wind loading for the expected wind-direction overnight. 2. To minimize damage to the surrounding area should a failure happen and a crane fall (similar to felling a tree in a forest so it falls in the direction the lumberjack wants it to fall). 3. To leave the boom over the worksite for the next morning's first pickup (so, it would be a coincidence that all the pickup sites were at the same angle relative to the booms). .
