What are the materials?
Our rattan furniture is woven by hand with environment-friendly PE rattan on strong powder-coated metal or aluminum structure with soft cushions and pillows. The cushions are usually replaceable and washable.
1) PE Rattan/PVC Rattan/Poly Rattan/Synthetic Rattan: durable and UV and weather resistant
-- Round Rattan is usually more durable than flat rattan and more expensive.
-- Plenty of rattan colors are available for selection and the well-received colors are listed as follows: Changing Brown, Charcoal, Dark Brown, Cream, Beige, Grey, White, etc.
-- Rattan Size: Our common round rattan diameter: 2.4mm, 2.5mm, 2.9mm, 3mm, 3.3mm, etc. Our common flat rattan width: 6, 8, 10, 12 mm, etc.
2) Structure/Framework: Top Graded and powder-coated
--Strong metal structure is adopted if not asked. Aluminum structure can also be made at a higher cost. Aluminum structure is lighter in weight.
3) Cushions and pillows: water-proof and with zipper, replaceable and washable

- Q: A seam is coming out of mine. The the upholsterer says there isn't enough fabric in it to repair, but if the manufacturer will send fabric, she can make a new one. I've had the sofa three years, the warantee is only for 2. Thanks, Kathleen B
- Ask her if it would be repairable if the fabric of the current cover was fused to something like one of the fusible tricot interfacings. If it's entirely shredded out, this probably won't work, but if there's just a popped seam and not enough seam allowance, it may do the trick. Otherwise, I'd start thinking about what design features you could add to the existing cushions. For instance, what if you added contrast stripes to the edges of the cushion covers? What if she cut down a cushion (to give her enough fabric to sew) and made a contrasting bolster that sat down in the space now left by the cutdown job. Yet another possibility, if the sofa is against a wall, is that you may be able to steal enough fabric fromthe back of the sofa for the cushion, then patch in something toning in the back. Finding matching fabric for something that's a couple of years old is really difficult. Finding matching fabric for something that's been used for a couple of years is even more difficult. So I'd be thinking about goes with not match.
- Q: I'm looking at this coffee table, matching end tables, and matching tv stand. I really like the clean transitional pottery barn look for my new apartment. The floors are a light tan, the walls will be probably also a light cream (its a small place so I want open-feeling colors). My problem is finding the sofa color to go. This is the SAME sofa in 2 colors (one is leather but I dont really care). Let me know your suggestions :)

- Q: someone is giving me a sofa bed but it doesn't have the inner fold out bed. Can it still be a comfortable sofa without me falling in?
- You can use it, but it's going to feel a bit weird because the fold out bed part is what adds support/stability to the piece when it's being used as a sofa. All I can say is try it to see if it will be comfortable for you. If you find the manufacturer's tag on it, you can always contact the maker to find out if replacement mattress bed mechanism is available for the model that you have. If so, and you decide to order, just know that you'll have to have it installed by someone who works with upholstered furniture.

- It says the Thickness: 7 1/8 That is typically too thick and will not fold back down into the sofa. Traditionally sofa beds are known for not being very comfy. To thin, so you cannot build it with enough padding or coils. You may want to use the existing mattress and just add a topper too it for comfort.

- best bet is a flea market. I found mine at a flea market. I LOVE my sofa..its 7 feet long, olive green, really low and it came with a matching chair. I got both for one hundred dollars. The only thing is..its old.. but it was in fabulous shape and it is retro. And it stunk. haha, i left it on my front porch to air out for a week, then I put it in my house and it got my live in smell. I wouldnt part with it for anything. Plus i got a bunch of throw pillows and it adds punches of color. I get compliments on my set all the time. I swear, its a one of a kind.
