Q: Im a new Chicago real estate licensy and i want to work as a part time job. Which company do u think is the best in which i can work as a part time real estate sell person with a minimum company fee and minimum commercial split?
First okorder / and speak with agents in your area and get some local info. But after interviewing the managers you will need to weigh which one can you get along with and do you trust. Do not work for a manager or broker who is also dealing with buyers and sellers themselves as this means they will be your competition. My name one localism is jimpa, if I can help just email me.
Q: I am considering a future job in real estate. Im still young and have the opportunity to go to school and this field definetly interests me. The only thing is I dont know is where to start and where I should look into going to school at. Should I go to a company and get my feet wet or should I go to school first. I understand that this is a comm based job but are their other job opportunites that do require pay w/o being a real estate agent first. Just to see if this is right for me it would be great if I could get some info on this matter. Also if anyone can give me some ideas on schools in san diego and even recommend any companies I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!
Also, licensing typically costs $$$. 2. Choosing an Office Once you have a license you need to choose an office to work with. As a new Realtor the #1 thing to ask about is what sort of support system they have in place for new agents. Do they have mentor programs? Sales courses? Issues such as commission split (how much of each sale you get to keep) matter more when you are experienced, less when you are starting out. Go with the office that gives you the BEST support. 3. Board of Realtors You typically need to be the member of the local board of realtors. The office you join can help with this.
Q: Can anyone suggest a website or inform me of how I can find a list of Real Estate Investing seminars in my area?-Liz
they are usually listed in the classified section of the newspaper. look under investment properties. there are groups that advertise there.
Q: Love sales but don't know the first steps into real estate. I know theres alot of scams promising success within a week, but i don't believe that's true.
most people in the real estate business have already made money elsewhere before they got into the business.
Q: is it good time to be into real estate? is it bad now and if so when do you guys think it will be come better? i am currently a freshman in junior college and really like real estate. i plan to relocate to los angeles, california. is real estate good there in california?
It is a horrible time to get into Real Estate now, as the market is crashing in America. That being said, I would expect(and don't hold your breath for this as I'm for from an economist) that the government change will assist the economy to turn around, as well as all the interest rises, et cetera. Essentially, you should be fine by the time you get in the market. My biggest advise though, would be to take note of this: You don't need to study real estate to get into real estate - it's sales, or the entry roles are sales anyways, and if you're good at your job you'll climb up the corporate ladder very quickly. You simply need to charismatic and influential (could you persuade one of your friends that blue is the very best color int he world? Are you good at debates?). For example, if you were to do a degree in business, you could follow that career path if you decided that you enjoyed it, or if the market is still average. At any time though, you can go into real estate....just know that if you move at a later stage, you may have to take a pay cut and start back at the bottom! Best of luck!
Q: Well i'm just about going to College, and i'm thinking now about going into real estate. Yet, just like any new goer i don't really know what i need for studies. I've taken Personal Financial Management in High School. But i want to be able to show people houses they might be interested in. Can you give me some type of sighting on classes i should take, or the initial name for this?
hope this does not sound confusing. Being a real estate salesperson or broker [the sales person's boss] is a very very serious world, time consuming and wrought with laws--federal and state, that must be memorized BEFORE you can show a house to anyone! YOUR finance classes will come in handy--and if you wish to become an agent, you will be a combo PART lawyer, part hustler, 100% advocate for EITHER [you can rep both but it is stupid to do so] seller or buyer. YOU must pay for an application, pay for the schooling [only specific schools are authorized by each state], pay for the state test after you pass the school's tests, and then, pay for the license....and if you like NAR [most brokers are members] you must pay for a membership there too. Figure 100 hours of very focused concentration, $300 out of your pocket NOT counting NAR before you earn one penny--and that penny comes only after a buyer and seller close escrow with your help! can guide further
Q: I am interested in becoming a Real Estate Agent. I live just outside of Columbia South Carolina. What I would like to know is how much does it generally cost to start up I have a friend of a friend that said as soon as I obtain my provisional license she can get me on with her agency. What is the avergae pay for a beginner? How do the hours work? Do you work mostly from home or an office? The hours, are they mostly weeknights and weekends? A general run down would be great. I have always worked an 8-5 job and am a little intimidated by the uncertainty that comes with this field. I guess just explain the details. Thanks
Look online for Real Estate Schools in your city. Take the classes. Anything you need to know about becoming a real estate Agent will be taught in the Real Estate Course. In New York City, once one has passed the Real Estate Test and becomes a Real Esate Agent he or she must work under a Real Estate Broker to become familiar with the Real Esate Industry. Ask your questions of the Real Estate School that you will attend.
Q: I am thinking about becoming a real estate broker is it very hard to become one ?
A real estate broker or real estate agent is a person who acts as an intermediary between sellers and buyers of real estate/real property and attempts to find sellers who wish to sell and buyers who wish to buy. zoobia
Q: I was having a discussion with someone and we were discussing careers. I said that the best field to go into is medicine because you have potential to make millions of dollars, think about it, if you are a simple chemistry major who works in a lab and creates a drug or something that is very useful, there you go. I know that is a fairly vague example but you get my point. My friend said I should go into real estate because I am money hungry with isn't true but I do want to be a millionaire which isn't uncommon and I will be rich one day. Anyway, down to the point. Simply, how DO people in the real estate business rack in millions of dollars? I would assume you have to own your real estate business but that means millions of dollars that need to be there. How do some of these people in this field go from nothing to everything? Oh, and please no flaming, even though it is probably inevitable.
You can make millions in just about any job. It's not what you earn, it's what you keep. If you can put $400/month into a Roth IRA from age 25 to age 65, you'll have $3,600,000 Most people can, they just don't want to, because they'd rather spend $400/month on car payments. HOPE YOU LIKE THE CAR!!!
Q: How difficult is it to become a real estate agent in Beverly Hills or Malibu or Bel Air ECT places like that? How would you go about getting into a brokerage in the area? Any information you think I should know that I didn't ask of?
Not difficult at all. First you go to Real Estate Sales Agent School and if you pass the course and exam, you apply for your license to be a sales agent. Once you have your license, you go to several real estate offices and apply for a job as a sales agent. Once you have been a sales agent under the guidance of a Broker for 3 yrs, you can go back to Real Estate School and study to become a Broker. Once you have your Brokers license, you can open your own office anywhere you want.
