Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. Q: Hi everyone!Im having a problem with shift lock!simply stop working and the gear stuck at any position.to release the gear i have to press the shift lock button all the time.I've changed the whole part, worked well for around 2 months and stop working again!I put something inside to keep the shift unlocked, work this way of course, but no security at all if accidentally i touch and change the gear.does anybody know what is the problem? maybe eletrical?*sorry for my english, im not a native in english.: yes, even i had the same prob, so best u buy a smell enhancer

Q: I am doing an estimate for my sprinkler system materials and it calls for Class 200 PVC pipe. I found a great deal on Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Will this work instead of the Class 200? What is Class 200?Thanks very much for your help.: Most PVC pipe is glued together, occasionally there are screw thread fittings such as at sink traps, unions etc. it would help if you gave more info on what you are trying to do. Added: If you are trying to disconnect the place where water enters the float valve. there should be a plastic or metal nut that unscrews off the bottom of the fill valve. Make sure you are trying to turn it in the correct direction to loosen. Because the nut is on the bottom of the tank, if you are above it and reaching underneath to remove, you will need to turn clock wise to remove. If you are on your back looking up at, it turn counter clockwise to loosen.

It takes a lot of skills, if you feel like its too much, ask one of the girls to do some one on one with you on the weekend then try out next year. Q: Ive been bowling with a plastic ball for about 2 years. Im trying to step my game up a little bit and put hook on the ball. Also should I get the same weight ball as my plastic spare ball?: They (plumbing fitting foundrys) make an adapter fitting that is designed for exactly this purpose. If the length of PVC pipe is between two pieces of cast you'll need two (one for each end). The fitting will go together with no-hub bands (very common when working with cast iron) so youll need one of those for each adapter also. horizontal or vertical will not matter. Measure the gap after removal of the old pieces/parts and subtract the 'make up of the fittings (the length of the adapters less the hub for each or just the one adapter however the case may be) also good idea to cut PVC pipe a bit short maybe 3/8 easier to fit it back in. and assemble the fittings to the PVC pipe with primer (purple is better) and PVC cement (gold label, not yellow or red) the no hub bands have a rubber and a metal part. Best to slide the no-hub bands on the cast and slide the metal part on and past the no hub band, so the metal is out of the way. Then fold the rubber back on its self then slide the PVC in and fold the rubber down on to the adapters. Then slide the metal into place and tighten the clamps. (the metal can be opened up all the way by lOosening the clamps completely and fitting the metal over after the rubber is in place- this is usually a good idea for the top joint because the metal can be frustrating falling down in the way while attempting to fold the rubber back over the adapter)

If you know how long a piece you need, have the supply house or home center cut and thread the piece(s) for you. I think Lowes does this for little or no extra cost. If you have a lot of threading to do, try renting the cutter, threader, and de-burrer, plus a pipe vise. [You will also need cutting oil for the threading process.] You then use couplings, not unions, to rejoin the pieces. [Unions are used to join two pipes when you cannot turn one of the pipes because it is already in place.] Use standard forged couplings, not the cheap smooth merchant couplings which often come with pipe lengths. Be sure to use high quality pipe dope to join the pipe/fittings. It comes in tape or brush on types, depending on your preference, the type of pipe, and what the pipe will carry [water, gas, etc.]
