Q:I have a Samsung NC10 net book, from europe. A few days ago I forgot the power cable in another country. Can I get just any laptop power cable from a computer store, or should I get a proprietary cable? Will the quality matter?
As long as the cable has enough power for your laptop, same watts, volts etc. It's usually on some part of the power cable, and on the bottom of your laptop or on the battery.
Q:Do I have to use a fuse for the power cable on an amplifier, if the amp is only a 350 watt amp?
look at the fuses on the back of the amp, total those up and there's the fuse size you will need to use on your power wire.
Q:lost my original 7A cable and the uk wire is 2.5A
The PS3 Slim's power supply is rated at 250W which works out to be just under 2.5A @ 110v. Since the PS3 only draws around 100W it should be OK. If you were using an Older PS3 then it would require more power and would not be safe with a 2.5A cable. Since a new cable wouldn't cost much you should probably invest in a better one anyway.
Q:I am trying to run the power cable leading to the amplifier in my car but can not seem to find a hole or firewall to pass the wire through. My car is a 91 Toyota Tercel. Please and Thank you
Make a new one. Use a drill bit the same size as the wire. They also sell firewall grommets that will prevent the wire from cutting.
Q:Hi. I just purchased a hp slimline S3420F used from OKorder. (dumb move, I know) Anyway it worked for a few days and now it won't turn on. The power supply light on the back is one but the computer won't come on. I was looking in the trouble shooting guide and one thing that is suggested is to reseat the hard disk data and power cables. It says for instructions to refer to a manual that I can't get because it's on my computer. I am on a public computer now and can't upload the manual to this computer. I switched the voltage to 230 and back to 115 real quick and that worked once. Probably just a coincidence. Now it just won't boot at all. LIke I said, the green power supply light on the back of the computer is on. I can read replies from my cell phone so perhaps someone can give me some ides what to do. I'm sure the answer lies in taking it to a repair shop. :(
Re-seating is nothing more than unplugging a connection, then plugging it back in. Your real problem sound related to the 230/115 switch, if not the power supply itself.
Q:One of my ottocinclus is munching on a little brown algae that's on the aquarium heater's power cable. Not dangerous, I guess? I don't think they can actually bite through it and expose the wire...?
It's probably just scraping algae off the cable, not eating the insulation. It could eventually chew through the insulation, it were really determined, but it would take a fish the size of an oto a really long time to do that. You probably have nothing to worry about.
Q:I'm referring to the older models of both the PS2 and PS3, not the slim models.
The USB adapter works for me. On some video games like Soul Calibur you are able to press the analog button previously the controller will initiate working, and it gets fussy some situations having to unplug it and placed it back in.
Q:My 4 pin CPU power cable is too short can I plug the 6 pin cable into that 4 pin slot? Safely? Thanks in advance for your help.
No, okorder . I know they have extensions so they should have what you are looking for.
Q:is it possible to run a 2-wire AC power cable (2x2.5mm2 or thicker) from the telephone junction box to the inside of the house instead of using an ordinary thin phone cable? will that affect the voice quality or maybe an ADSL setup? the distance is approximately 50 meters.thanks a lot.
Two conductors are two conductors, unless there are high-frequency issues. In this case it appears that if you are replacing parallel (not twisted) wires with another set of at least equal thickness, you should be okay. Since ADSL is used on parallel wires, without twisting them, the frequencies conducted should not present problems.
Q:I bought a TV and it requires 9 amps but it didn't include the cable. I have a 7 amp cable that fits, but I don't want to damage the TV. All the cables at stores around me don't fit well. Could I get away with just using this one for a couple days until the right one arrives in the mail? I can imagine that it wouldn't give me reliable power, but I don't really care about that, I just don't want to damage the power supply of the TV. Thanks in advance.
if your unit call for a 9 amp power cord and you drop it to 7 amps that would be a great lose of amps wires might over heat and cause a fire i won't do it myself its up to you and your safety if you want to do it
