Sounds like it is jury rigged.Unless you can exchange it for one that is plumbed similar to the old one,you'll have to add pipe and plumb it to new fittings.Usually the cold inlet pipe is to the top with hot coming from the side or bottom.

The squeak when hitting bumps can be a couple of things. If small bumps cause a squeak replace the stabilizer bar bushings and check the links. If the car pulls left or right when hitting grooves in the road jack it up and check the ball joints. If the steering wheel shakes slowly while making a slow turn I'd inspect the tires, it would be bad belts and/or worn tread. The bottom line is you need a good alignment shop to shake down the suspension and quote you for needed repairs and then do a 4 wheel alignment. It might be a good time to think about a different vehicle before you start pumping money into that POS.

If you're looking for something homemade, use brass, or even copper. You should be able to find enough parts, fittings, etc at the hardware store to rig up something suitable.

On one occasion they sent 9 drums (Est. value $15 00.00 - $20 000.00) for me to identify. The manager of our firm and the accountant saw these on the platform, before I had checked them. He demanded that I tell the railway that all the fittings were ours. There was no manner that the railway personnel would be able to establish the truth. I refused, weighed the drums, and allocated them accordingly. (The other firms were impressed, my manager was not) I was a new employee and after 6 months I approached the Manager with regards to an increase in salary. He refused point blank. I reminded him that a person willing to steal for him, would also be prepared to steal from him. This fell on deaf ears. I was obliged to resign. ecky thrump has a good explanation of the boat, but one of the most important features of an ocean going sailboat is the skipper. a great seaworthy sailboat is very dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced sailor. an experienced sailor can successfully cross oceans in less than ideal sailboats because he/she has the ability to make decisions that keep the sailboat safe regardless of the conditions of the ocean. hope this helps
