Sacheted Vermiculite Expanded Vermiculites

Specifications of Vercumilite:

Vermiculite's distinct properties offer a number of benefits including high heat and fire resistance, high absorbency, excellent insulating, sound absorption and reinforcement. Vermiculite is also economical and can be modified for specialty applications.

Application of Vercumilite:

Vermiculite is most widely used in its exfoliated form.  The concertina-shaped granules of exfoliated vermiculite are non-combustible as well as being insoluble in water and all organic solvents.  Safe and easy to handle, exfoliated vermiculite is available in the market place in different grades as shown in the table below:

Q: what is the formula for preparing new veg. garden in raised beds?
Mix compost wth top soil. Both available at garden centers.
Q: i put a 4 inch deep container inside her terrarium with spider turf and vermiculite and mixed it with water, she started digging a hole, than she stopped and now she wants to get out of her terrarium. wht seems to be the problemps:im 100% sure that she‘s pregnant
look really good in the dirt if know eggs give her a couple days or take her to the vet
Q: During the middle ages of europe like around 400 to 700 or to 1000
Rich in resources, but they never used them. When the Europeans came to Africa, seeing as the Africans didn't seem to be doing much with the resources, they just took all of it for themselves. And some people too.
Q: Also can anyone explain the name to me? Vermi- is usually to do with worms, but I thought vermiculite was mineral...Thanks!
Both absorb and hold water, but I don't think that they would both add softness to the clay. The vermiculite is much softer on Moh's scale of hardness than perlite (which starts out as volcanic glass). I would stick with the vermiculite.
Q: I am closing on my first home next Monday and we have been in discussion with the seller, a 3rd party bank, about who should pay for removal of asbestos found during the inspection. The vermiculite insulation was found in the eaves on the 2nd floor and inbetween the drywall and studs on that floor as well. There is also floor tile that is said to contain asbestos mastic. I received 4 quotes to remove this, all which came in right around $12,000. The bank has offered us $7,000 to put toward the removal. We are going to forgo removing the tiles and just cover them with carpet. Can anyone tell me if they have been through a similar situation and if it was worth it? Should I walk away if they won‘t pay the full $12,000? I am told the tiles are not a danger to my family‘s health and are in all schools.
I agree with Bare B above. Leaving the floor becomes a disclosure issue for you once you decide to sell. That may put you in the position of having to pay to remove it anyways to sell the house. In addition, the tiles are not a danger as long as they do not disintegrate or begin to degrade. How can you guarantee that once you cover them with carpeting the moisture from having the carpets cleaned, the pressure from moving furniture or dropping things won't create a very big problem of them deteriorating right under your feet without your knowledge? You may not even be able to find an insurer to give you homeowners insurance without exclusions. Run, do not walk away from this deal unless the bank is prepared to take total financial responsibility for this risk.
Q: i have 20 tomato plants in individual 6 containers on a flood table but i water by hand. i grew them from seed and they seem to be dying. tips of branches are yellowing and drying and even some leaves are. the plants are 8 inches tall and all planted in organic miracle grow soil mixed with perlite and vermiculite. they started off strong but now having problems. i have 10 small pepper plants the same age as the tomatos and they are thriving. all plants are under a 400wat metal halide light 1 foot above the plants and i water everyother day or when the top soil seems dry. please help!!
Cut the badly discolored leaves off. Leave only the good leaves. I had the same problem but some of my leaves turned white and some turned yellow. Almost all have lived and now are 12 inches tall. The only thing I added was a little iron. I assume you are growing heirloom tomatoes. They are tricky but you will learn. I grow 7 varieties.
Q: (Acer planoides) I purchased these seeds at a market, the instructions on the packet say this.Place the seeds in a ziplock bag with a little damp not wet vermiculite and place in the fridge for 90120 days. inspect regularly and if seeds start to germinate remove and sow. plant the seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep in good quality compost and keep moisture around 60 to 70 F.90 to 120 days? Its going to take at least 3 months for these seeds to germinate? And why does the months of cold air in a wet environment make these seeds germinate (that just sounds like it would cause hibernation/preservation)?
The seeds need a hibernation period of a couple months at below 35 degrees. It is just the way it is with upper latitude deciduous trees.
Q: How long is the service life of the special vermiculite for incubation? How often do you change it?
Incubation of vermiculite and horticultural vermiculite does not distinguish between silicate minerals. Its role in incubation and horticultural farming:1, for turtle eggs hatch, with mud and sand is more convenient, safer and more effective.2, for the transport of turtles, moisturizing buffer effect, can improve the survival rate.3, planting medium, one of the main materials, and peat, perlite and other mixed use.4. Sowing mulch.
Q: How can I tell if the insulation in my house is dangerous (i.e. vermiculite)?
Are you planning on keeping the tomatoes in a pot or plant them in the ground in your garden eventually? If you are going to keep them in a pot, you may want to separate them into a larger pot and amend the potting soil to something less dense. Potting soil that is sold in bags can become very compact and not drain well. The addition of something like peat moss, vermiculite or just sand helps 'lighten' the soil and promotes better aeration and growth. If you live in an area that you can expect your tomatoes to grow and bear fruit before the fall and frost, you should get them into the ground and you will see them grow a lot faster than being restrained in a small pot.
