Q: HiIm planning to buy a Antec Nine Hundered, how long would my power supply unit cables need to be to run my motherboard (Intel Tappen D945GTP) thanks
pretty much all cables on a psu is long enough to reach any mobo in any case (assuming its the correct form factor)
Q: Where can I buy a power cable with converter for a Dell Inspiron 2200?
my okorder /
Q: Why is the terminal metal housing of the power cable to be grounded?
WZC: W-halogen-free, ZC-flame retardant class C F46-poly perfluoro-propylene propylene Y - polyolefin sheath 2 - steel tape armor 2 - PVC outer jacket
Q: I'm curious, because I was looking through the 'combo deals' for a part for a potential build, and one of them was a SATA cable (item itself was a hard drive). Does Newegg, or for that matter any major computer retailer, sell products that come with all the cables you need to actually use the part? I guess I'm primarily concerned with Hard Drives and Disk Drives in this case... oh, and PSUs I guess. And the mobo, will that have the power cable?
External Hard Drive Newegg
Q: I'm running a 3ghz ecs p965t with 2gb of RAM, and I'm trying to install an XFX 8800GT. First time I tried it, it didn't power on at all, and I figured it might be the power supply (mine was a 350w) so I tried a friend's 450w, still no power. So I went out and bought a 500w, and STILL no power. Wierder still, if I leave the card plugged into the board but don't plug in the power connector, it makes a long high-pitched wailing sound but the system does power itself.I'm assuming it must be a problem with the card itself, but does anyone have any other possibilities I could try before negotiating a replacement in PC World?
I think its the card. This is not uncommon. Card sounds DOA. Exchange it. 500 watts is good, the others are not, but lack of power would not kill a card, I don't believe. good luck. 8800GT is a sweet card, thats what I have, I play at 1920x1080 and get between 40 and 60 FPS in far cry 2 and great frames in oblivion maxed out. I get around 30 in crysis on high.
Q: I have a Samsung NC10 net book, from europe. A few days ago I forgot the power cable in another country. Can I get just any laptop power cable from a computer store, or should I get a proprietary cable? Will the quality matter?
As long as the cable has enough power for your laptop, same watts, volts etc. It's usually on some part of the power cable, and on the bottom of your laptop or on the battery.
Q: I live in the Arizona desert, on a flood plain. Most of the time things are pretty dry. But during monsoon season the area I live in experiences flooding. I am planning a shallow, square, sunken pond. The main pond will be 4.10' L x 4.11' W x 3' deep. I plan to build an 8wide wall around the pond to keep out flood water. The wall will be made of standard red bricks. I plan to make the wall 2-3 bricks high. This would make the wall itself around 5-7 inches tall. The foundation for the wall will be concrete. Do I need a waterproof concrete sealant for the foundation? I plan on installing a power cable for my submersible filter between the EPDM liner I plan to use, and the mortar for my brick wall. Should I use sand between the mortar and the cable to protect the cable from the mortar? The cable will be encased in PVC as well.Thank you.
You should use a concrete sealant, it can't hurt. Put the cable under the foundation in PVC and it will be fine.
Q: I need a replacement power cable for an ASUS VH222H monitor ASAP.Would this work?
the end that goes into your computer... compare that to what you see in the package.
Q: i need to know what kind of cable i need to supply power to my internal dvd player. I ALREADY HAVE AN IDE CABLE
these are smaller than the normal power connector thats used for hard drive. take a pic or take it to ur local pc-mart outlet store and ask them for one... they are readiy available. you may need one that piggy backs off the existing molex power supply.
Q: Soooooo I don't know much about electronics, but... I'm pretty that my AC power cable for my new receiver was made wrong. You know how it supposed to have a positive and a negative pins? well they are both the same. I know that the wall outlet has the little whole and the bigger one. I've seen some AC power cables that only have the little flat pins so they fit on the wall outlet. My cable has two of the big flat pins... so I can't plug it in the outlet. What do I do? is there like a plug I could buy? I've been using google but I can't find anything...
If the equipment is under warranty, I might consider taking it back and complaining. If not, the hardware store is your recourse here. Good luck!
