- Q:I tried cleaning my plastic windows in my truck with water thinking if i wiped it up right away it wouldn't leave any spots but it did... I'm not trying to buy anything expensive and I was under the impression you don't use windex on plastic... Any ideas?

- the shrink plastic works well, but you need super clean, smooth and grease free woodwork to adhere the double sided tape. it does not stick well to bare wood, so you might first have to paint a line of varnish or poly where the tape will go (and let it dry, of course). My 20's bungalow has Original windows, and until I can get some outside storms made, I'm using the shrink wrap. You're only trying to trap a layer of still air between the the outside glass and the room. Caulking around all the window and floor wood work will go a long way to improve the Comfort level of rooms, too.
- Q:I have a Renault Clio authentique 1.2L and it has electric windows....there is a plastic clip attached to the back of the glass that i presume keeps the glass coming up and down at the right angle but it comes up really slowly and some times not at all....i think it has something to do either with the plastic clip or it needs more lubrication.....any help is appreciated. - im my bmw 740il my rear left window does the same i replaced the moter for the winmdow for cheap and it works fine now i hope its nuthing big but if u do not know what else to do go to auto zone of napa and ask one of the workers they will help out

- I believe it's dense plastic, similar to bulletproof glass. Glass shatters, and that's not something you want on a plane. So typically dense plastics are the way to go. They are strong and shatter resistant.

- Plastic expands and contracts too much to have tint put on. It will wrinkle up. That goes for hard plastics (plexiglas type) also.

- Q:I put up fly nets with adhesive velcro strips (were included in the package) on my plastic window frames. That was last year. The glue on the velcro has now turned to dust (literally) leaving dark, pinkish black stains on the white plastic where the sun hit the velcro. Is there any way to remove or bleach these stains? I tried chlorine but that didn't work.
- You can get rid of the glue residue with Goo Gone. Wipe on. Let sit for about a half an hour. Then scrub with a plastic dish scrubber and wipe off with wet paper towels. Good luck. -
- Q:I have yucky shades on my windows dead bugs all around my windows. They are old windows so I bought an insulation kit to do the windows. It says I will need to blow dry.What if I don't want to touch the disgusting shades my landlord said be would replace when I moved in ? They have poor insulation a handful bugs come in every hour.Do you think the plastic will work without shrinking it with a blowdryer? There are slice webs around my window so I am disgusted.
