it doesnt matter if it's glass or plastic. Once exposed to air (oxygen) the blood will clot unless it's been treated with an anticoagulant like EDTA, heparin, or sodium citrate. That's why these test tubes have anti coagulant in them. The tubes themselves can be glass or plastic, it doesn't matter. No anti-coagulant = clot anti-coagulant = no clot.

Take the tube off the hoover and fit it as tight as you can over an outdoor water spigot. The combination of a bit of lubrication from the water and pressure will sometimes push the obstruction out the way it came in. If that doesn't work you will probably have to find a blunt end stick or rod long enough to force it out. Do not use wire or a straightened clothes hanger. It is too easy to puncture the corrugated hose if it should slip to the side of the cap.

It can be dangerous if he accidentally swallows a piece of plastic. And some of the plastic can break and be sharp enough to cut him. I would take them out for now and give him something else he can chew on.

Pink still remains the Fla-vor-ice brand's most popular flavor ( punch ). I can find no information on the possible retirement of that flavor. I think that would be silly to retire your most popular flavor. That is my daughter's favorite too. In our last box of 100, they had some in it. But if you switch to the tropical box it is a different set of flavors.
