- Q:I recently bought a Mackie CFX20 MKII and it came with a European 2 pin power cable but I need a UK 3 pin power cable. On the plug end of the cable it says (16A 250V~) but on the connector end of the same cable it says (10A 250V~) I have no idea what cable I need to buy for this so an answer to what I need or a link to what I need would be great.Thanks.
- Look at the mixer itself and see what voltage it says on it, If it states 250V then you cannot use it in the USA as the voltage there is 110V.
- Q:I just purchased and mounted my 52lcd and I cut holes to run the HDMI cables behind the wall. As I was snaking the power cable, I realized this might not be the best way. Is there anything I need to do (I only have basic 'contracting' skills) to keep my install fire code safe?
- The hole should be sealed for a fire stop. That little hole should not amount to anything. If you seal the hole and have a problem with the tv set you are really going to have problems removing the set for service.
- Q:I lost my power cable for my Ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen, can I use the 3rd gen shiffle power cord for the 2nd gen? My logic: $55 for a new ipod 3rd gen or $30 for a new power adapter for the 2nd gen. $25 more I have a new ipod... but it would be nice if I can still use the 2nd gen as well...
- look and see if the adaptor will fit...if so it should...i doubt they will though
- Q:i would like to have my power cables and control boxes inside in one spot is this possible? if so how and how expensive would it be?
- You could use trunking for the cables, and for the control boxes if they are in the house you could hide them under a box which you could decorate to look like a parcel...personally I would paint it, but drill some holes for ventilation.
- Q:Hey guys I have a compaq sr5550f desktop the power light under the cable is flicking green but the computer will not turn on or off yesterday it was fine but unable to connect to the monitor I have saying no signal? whats up with it it was fine two days ago I unplugged all cables and let it rest and still the same result even if i unplug all the cables it still flickers green the dies off then if i plug it back it does it again help?
- Does the fan spin (at the back, near where you plug in the power cable) at all? If not, you probably have a failed power supply that needs replacing.
- Q:when you install a power cable you usually route it through the door seal and under the carpet. If there are existing speaker wires that go to your rear speakers, will the power cable create an interference?
- No, just run it through the middle of your car, not through the sides. My runs right under the cup holder area under the seats and right to the back. You cant even see it lol, my pros did a great job putting it in
- Q:all of my wiring seems okay and everything seems to work except for my amp power. I have the blue cord on the harness wired into the blue/white cord in my kenwood because i tried going blue to blue and it didnt work. So i have the remote cable from my amp plugged into the blue cord on my head unit. I have no power to my amp.
- The amp won't activate except there is voltage on the distant terminal. it rather is the function of the amp distant cord; it connects to a head unit output, which sends voltage to the terminal whilst the top unit is on. in case you do no longer connect a distant cord, the amp will never activate. in case you connect the distant cord to a continuing means source, the amp will never turn off. you should cord it to a key-switched means source, or the distant output on the top unit. some amplifiers have sign-sensing circuits which will immediately turn the amp on on each occasion an audio sign is detected. those amplifiers do no longer require distant cables, yet they're extremely uncommon.
- Q:What is a PVC Power Cable and what is its application?
- PVC Power cable : Polyvinyl coated power cable. this kind of cable can be used in domestic appliance, machines and outdoors, it's quite durable.
- Q:Hi,1) Is spinning down of hard disk same as removing the power cable of the hard disk ? 2) Will the IDE cable connected carry power to the hard disk when the power cable is removed ?3) How do we spin down the hard disk manually ?
- 1) When you unplug the power cable, it spins down, because there is no power. In order to read data from the hard disk it needs to be spinning. When it is not spinning, you cannot read data from it. Some power saving systems will allow you set the hard drives to spin down after a long time that it has not been used, to conserve power. After that, to read from the disk it needs to be spun up, and that takes a few seconds. 2)No. 3) You cannot manually spin a hard disk, it spins at 7200 (some models 5400) rpm. That's VERY fast.
- Q:What type of plastic is a power cable made of? Thanks.?
- Power cable isn't made of plastic, it is copper or aluminum covered with PE, PVC, or PTFE plastic.
