Q:What are the physical properties of acrylic tubes (18width, 24diameter)? What is the property difference between a tube that is extruded compared to casted? All I'm really asking is which one is stronger and how strong is it? Is it easy to drill holes in them? Is PVC stronger, and what are the properties of that?
I've no idea what to say
Q:I mean, like filling a plastic tube from end to end with mercury, sealing it with caps that allow contact points at either end, and then wrapping the tubing around a ferrite core, and adding current. Would this function just like any other coil?
yes and no. copper is 60 times more conductive. that means that mercury wouldn't work nearly as well. in addition, the tube to contain mercury would be much thicker than the insulation around copper. so, while it would work to some degree, it wouldn't work very well.
Q:when u have laproscopic surgery do they stick a tube down your throat. if so what does it help do.?
Yes, you will undergo general anesthesia, the tube is to breath for you while you are having surgery. You will be hooked up to a ventilator.
Q:Can plastic tubes be customized in terms of color and size?
Yes, plastic tubes can be customized in terms of color and size. Manufacturers have the ability to produce plastic tubes in a wide range of colors and can also adjust the size and dimensions of the tubes to meet specific requirements or preferences.
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for household products?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for a variety of household products. They are commonly used for packaging items such as toothpaste, lotions, creams, and various types of liquids. They are lightweight, durable, and provide convenience for dispensing and storing household products.
Q:I make models and the plastic that winds up in the trash could be reused if only I knew how to glue it. I have tried all of mine (401, epoxy, Loctite, Gorilla Glue, etc) to no avail.
I use E-6000 clear glue for almost everything. I am a sewer and needed some weights so I used this glue on huge metal washers putting two of them together for more weight. I have had these weights for quite a few years. The trick to this glue is to let is set. According to the label is it flexible, paintable, non-flammable, waterproof, safe for photographs, etc. I would suggest not using this in an enclosed area for any length of time. Good luck - Hope that helps.
Q:Why plastic tubes against UV radiation?
You can't resist UV if you don't add itFor example, if a pipe is buried in the ground, this function may not be needed
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for marine applications?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for marine applications. Plastic tubes are often made from durable and corrosion-resistant materials such as PVC, polyethylene, or nylon, which can withstand the harsh marine environment. They are commonly used for various marine applications including plumbing, water transfer, electrical wiring protection, and as part of marine equipment and systems. Additionally, plastic tubes are lightweight, easy to install, and cost-effective, making them suitable for marine applications.
Q:What are the different colors available for plastic tubes?
The different colors available for plastic tubes can vary widely depending on the manufacturer and intended use. Some common colors include white, black, clear, blue, green, red, and yellow. There may also be specialty colors or custom options available for specific applications.
Q:What are the common wall thicknesses for plastic tubes?
The common wall thicknesses for plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific application and material used. However, some typical ranges include 0.5mm to 3mm for thin-walled tubes and 3mm to 8mm for thicker-walled tubes.
