It is expected that the annual capacity of 2012 will be up to 30 million for wafer, 300MWp for solar cells, 1000MW for solar modules and 2 million for solar applications.

Process Description:

Here only a brief look at the role of technology, give us an emotional understanding of the specific content of a further detail later:   the battery test: Because the randomness of the battery-chip manufacturing conditions, the production out of battery performance is different, we will be for the effective performance of identical or similar battery together, it should be classified according to their performance parameters; battery test that is by testing the battery output parameters (current and voltage) of the size of its classification. To improve the utilization of the battery to make the battery components of acceptable quality.

Q: Hi. I need to build a solar panel for a project. it should be able to light a 60 watt light bulb. also, it should be about 3x3 ft if it is 50% efficient. if anyone knows any websites or can help me, please answer! thanks.
Making your own photovoltaic (solar electric) panel is a nontrivial matter if you want to get 60 watts out of it. If this is a science fair project, there are some possible paths that I'd suggest: ) Make your own cupric oxide panel. With just one square foot, you can harvest perhaps 0.5 mW in bright sun - enough to power a solar calculator; -or- 2) Buy a panel to light your 60 watt bulb. You could probably get away with a panel that is 6 square feet, but would use a car headlight as the lamp. If you wanted to light a regular household bulb, you would need electronics to step up the voltage, and you would lose a sizeable fraction of the energy just in the conversion. -or- 3) Buy broken solar cell pieces, or individual solar cells, and solder them together into your own panel. This is a LOT of trouble, and is a finicky process to get working and keep working. And it may not end up being cheaper than buying a ready-made panel. But you can claim that you made it! By the way, crystalline silicon panels are in the ballpark of 5% efficient, and a 3' x 3' one would produce in the neighborhood of 20 watts.
Q: How long does it take to recoup the investment in solar panels?
The time it takes to recoup the investment in solar panels varies depending on several factors such as the cost of the panels, installation expenses, local energy rates, and available incentives. On average, it typically takes around 6 to 10 years to recoup the initial investment. However, with decreasing panel costs and increasing energy savings, the payback period is continually improving, making solar panels a worthwhile long-term investment for many homeowners and businesses.
Q: please no dumb answers and list where you got the info. Also how much does it cost to install solar panels for a regular sized house?
Short version is that the sunlight knocks electrons loose from a semiconductor panel, and those loose electrons generate an electrical current. The solar panels have lots of cells arranged in series parallel to get to a higher voltage (usually 2 or 24 volts) and current. This is sent to charge batteries under the control of a charge controller. The voltage from the batteries is sent to an inverter that converts the 2/24 volts to 20/240 VAC for household usage. .
Q: Can solar panels be used in cloudy regions?
Yes, solar panels can still be used in cloudy regions. While solar panels are more efficient in direct sunlight, they can still generate electricity in cloudy conditions. Clouds diffuse sunlight, but some sunlight still reaches the solar panels, allowing them to produce power. However, the energy output may be lower compared to sunny regions.
Q: Can solar panels be used for powering a farm or agricultural operation?
Yes, solar panels can definitely be used to power a farm or agricultural operation. Solar energy can be harnessed to generate electricity, which can then be used to power various farm activities such as irrigation systems, lighting, machinery, and other electrical needs. By utilizing solar panels, farmers can reduce their dependence on traditional energy sources, lower their operating costs, and promote sustainability in their operations.
Q: Can solar panels be damaged by hail or other elements?
Yes, solar panels can be damaged by hail or other elements. Hailstones, strong winds, and other extreme weather conditions can potentially cause physical damage to solar panels, such as cracks in the glass surface or dislodging of components. However, most solar panels are designed and tested to withstand such elements to a certain extent, and reputable manufacturers often provide warranties to cover any damages caused by hail or other weather-related incidents.
Q: so...do you think an online store dedicated to selling solar panels/systems will be a good business idea? Since green energy is the 'hottest' growing business area recently with usage growing about 30% per annum and investors putting all their money into solar energy, wind farms, biofuel, etc. I think when you sell solar systems online this will be the most appealing business model to the end customer...especially if you offer free installation on orders of say $000.
Did okorder , you will see thin film going for 99 cents a watt at times. The crystalline kind of panel that goes for $2.35 a watt is more like $.50 wholesale, and that's for a major distributor, not a (forgive me) small order of $60k, which is less than one container. There is a coming glut of panels, and prices will fall, but that means both wholesale and retail prices. I'm not saying it won't work, but do good research. For example, I think there are many more than 3 or 4 online shops for solar panels. Investigate shipping an warehousing costs. Investigate whether Home Depot really does not offer installation (every time I go in there, I see a guy handing out flyers for installation). And research carefully how much it will cost to provide installation. The typical install requires skilled and licensed workers. It won't be legal in most places unless someone has the necessary certifications. It's not just a matter of screwing the things to the roof. Any roof penetration has to potential to leak if done improperly. And any electrical wiring has the potential for burning the house down. Whatever business you finally pursue, research carefully, or that $60k will flee from you like a jackrabbit.
Q: How long does it take to install solar panels?
The installation process for solar panels typically takes one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the system, as well as the availability of skilled installers.
Q: Interested to know if it is possible to install Solar Panels to run my Jacuzzi?Don't want to do the whole house just the jacuzzi anybody have any ideas Thanks
You can do this by isolating the jacuzzi, you will need a solar array adequate for the power draw of the jacuzzi, a charge controller, battery bank, off-grid inverter and switch gear. This is the expensive way to go--especially if you are planning to heat the water with the solar. A better option would be to heat the jacuzzi with solar thermal panels. It is plumbing instead of electrical, but the cost would be much less. If you still want to do PV (electric) solar, think about putting a non-isolated grid-tie solar array on your home. They are much cheaper, and if you think about it, it really does not matter if you use the solar electricity to run a light, a fridge, a TV, or a Jacuzzi, that amount of power is subtracted from your overall house power bill. Just size the array for the power output of the jacuzzi, and let the power meter do the rest. Your overall result will be the same and the system will be half the price, or less.
Q: Can solar panels work during cloudy or rainy days?
Yes, solar panels can still work during cloudy or rainy days, but their efficiency is significantly reduced. Solar panels generate electricity by converting sunlight into usable energy, so the amount of energy produced is directly related to the amount of sunlight available. Cloudy or rainy weather reduces the intensity of sunlight reaching the panels, resulting in a lower electricity output. However, solar panels can still generate some power even in these conditions, making them a viable source of renewable energy even on less sunny days.
