FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:I will be doing my first tile job soon. I will be removing/replacing the tile on my kitchen countertop. I have got most everything figured out with the exception of removing the existing tile on the backsplash. I believe the tile was placed directly over sheet rock (tract home). Any suggestions on how to remove the tile without too much damage to the sheetrock. If I have to do sheetrock replacement I don‘t think I could ever duplicate the texture now applied to the surronding sheet rock Thanks for any tips.
Well you can use a hammer and a 1/2 chisel with safety glasses to start. As for sheetrock replacement...since it will be under the tile, the texture wont be seen and shouldnt be a problem. The coat that you will use to adhere the tile to the sheetrock will cover any inperfections caused by the tile removal. Are you talking about sheetrock or wonderboard?, sheetrock is also called drywall. If the base behind the tile is a hard ,cement based backing then just adhere the tile to that. I have never heard of anybody setting tile to sheetrock since it isnt waterproof. Good luck.
Q:I have extra floor tiles that i had my kids paint and i want to put them together for my husband for fathers day. any ideas on how to do that?
well you can put the tiles somewhere else? Maybe buy some more and make a cool tile medallion in your backyard or something? That seems to be pretty popular !
Q:My dad layed tiles in his kitchen recently. He had some plywood type stuff that he layed them on top of so they are on a flat, even surface. But then someone told him he should have put a netting type stuff underneith the tiles too, to keep them from breaking. Is that very important, will his floor be ruined now?
Its called wire mesh. Its not used as much anymore. What makes tiles or grout crack is the wood below the tiles. If the floor joists are too far apart and the plywood is not thick enough it can cause the floor to move. Even a little bit of movement can cause the tiles and the grout to crack. The wire mesh will not help if the floor moves.
Q:I want to install hardwood in all my house, except bathrooms.I currently have ceramic tile flooring. I know removing it and installing solid hardwood will be expensive. Can I install floaring hardwood over the ceramic tile?? I went to Lowe‘s, and the flooring assistant recommended me to to that. With the correct underlayment should be not trouble at all.Have you install it that way?? WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE??
I have installed floating hardwood and laminate over ceramic tile. It can be successfully done. Most floating hardwoods require a foam padding beneath them and are glued together. In your case I would also suggest the use of a 6 mil plastic sheeting to serve as a moisture barrier. There are a lot of issues with floating hardwood floor. It is fairly new and the results so far are not too good. It tends to be noisy, separate, and cup. It is also difficult to install any boards that are not perfectly straight, which is most of them. I would not recommend any Bruce floating hardwood, such as sold at Lowe's. If you cannot remove the tile, a quality laminate would in this case be a better choice than hardwood.
Q:I have a basement about 25X25 does anyone know how much it would cost to put vinyl tile down?
Is the floor sealed properly to prevent moisture from causing tile to lift after installation if not it could cost double the amount assuming that the calculation is correct. I can only assume that 25x25 is in feet so that would be 625 square feet. self adhesive tiles may not stick well to cement so applying glue then the tiles might be a better idea. I am not sure about the price but the last time I checked these where less expensive then the self adhesive tiles. Personal I would consult with the folks at the hardware store talk to one of the older ones as they would have more experience. They will also help you estimate the cost so you can consider the value of your purchase before you decide proceed!
Q:How many pieces of a tiles are there in general?
Look at the size of ah, look at the size of the box and tile size, 80 of our 80 by 80 also
Q:I am torn between using roof tile or slate roof? But my husband wanted roof tile more. You think it‘s good to use that?
Why 2 lengths?. you ought to have the means to get one length for 3m.the less joints the extra constructive.I take it the water is coming from a gutter larger up, in that case in good shape an appropriate bend the place it sheds onto the extension roof and in good shape a downpipe bracket to the wall, this could carry it inflexible at that end, then run your new downpipe for the period of to the place the extension downpipe is,disconnect this from the extension gutter, in good shape a hopper to the precise of the extension downpipe, it feels like a extensive funnel, you will ought to decrease the precise of the downpipe so the prevailing gutter runs into it besides as your new downpipe. fix the recent pipe to the fascia board with yet another bracket, that way you do no longer ought to repair it to the tiles .......good success
Q:the third tile. All three tiles types have the same side length. Determine the shape of the third tile type.
Where 3 tiles meet, they must add up to a full 360°. The formula for the interior angle of a regular n-sided polygon is: ((n - 2)*180) / n Plugging in n=4, the interior angle of a square is 90° Plugging in n=5, the angle of a pentagon is 108° The angle of the third tile is x and the 3 angles must add up to a full 360°: 90 + 108 + x = 360 Solve for x: x = 360 - 198 x = 162 Plug that into the original equation and solve for n: ((n - 2) * 180) / n = 162 (n-2) * 180 = 162n n - 2 = (162/180)n n - (162/180)n = 2 (18/180)n = 2 (1/10)n = 2 n = 2 * 10 n = 20 So the third tile must be from a regular icosagon (20-sided polygon) Answer: Regular icosagon; see the picture below.
Q:I saw tiles on HGTV once for a bathroom (I want to use them for a kitchen backsplash) they are small tiles but they are attached to each other by a piece of mesh on the back, and you just peel the paper off the back and slap it on the wall, then grout over it. What are these, where can I find it, etc?
a lot of different types of tiles are mounted on a mesh backing. they are usually small tiles on 12x12 sheets or oblong design pieces used as a border or transition. if you saw sheets or tile with a mesh backing that had a piece of paper that peeled off, then chances are it's glass tile. the mesh goes toward the wall and paper peeled off after installation. glass tiles are the only tiles i've seen with the paper layer on them. they can be rather pricey--usually between $20-35 per foot. check with your local tile distributor and look at their selection of glass tiles and see what else they might off that catches your fancy. :) good luck!
Q:I have a large number of tiles on the walls of the laboratory nowadays, and the whole piece of fall, years ago is normal, do not know how the matter, please answer expert!
1, if the mortar is not loose, only the tiles off, the back of the tile and the surrounding mortar scraping the net, in the 107 glue mixed with a little cement into a paste, in the back of the tile evenly coated with a thin layer , Then press the tile can be tightened. 2, if the mortar together with the tiles fall together, first in the original base surface gently chisel some pit, with a mixture of 107 glue mortar re-paste, or with cement, E-44 epoxy resin, acetone, ethylenediamine (Chemical shop available) by 5: 3: 2: 1 ratio of mix well, with a brush on the base surface brush a layer, and then peel off the tiles up until the mortar hardening.
