Q: Where is orifice tube on 97 blazer?
The plastic expansion tube contains a fixed diameter tube with a mesh filter screen at either end. It is located in the evaporator inlet pipe. It creates a restriction to the high-pressure liquid refrigerant in the liquid line, metering the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator as a low-pressure liquid. When the engine is turned OFF with the air conditioning operating, the refrigerant in the system will flow from the high-pressure side of the expansion tube (orifice) to the low-pressure side until the pressure is equalized. This may be detected as a faint sound of liquid flowing (hissing) for 30 to 60 seconds. This is a normal condition. When system diagnostics indicate a restricted expansion tube, it may not be necessary to replace it. Metal chips, flakes, or slivers found on the screen may be removed with compressed air. The expansion tube may be reused if: * The plastic frame is not broken. * The expansion tube is not damaged or plugged. * The screen material is not torn. * The screen is not plugged with fine gritty material.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to fire?
No, plastic tubes are not resistant to fire.
Q: My 98 Stratus 2.4L 4 cyl is dripping clear clean water on the passenger side and has accumulated water in the blower motor area. How can I clean out the drain? Where is the drain?
The drain will be on the passenger side, towards the bottom of the firewall. It should be below the 2 heater hoses that go intot he heater core. On yours, I think it was just a tube coming out of the firewall, it will have a foam gasket around the platic tube. The tube will protrude from the firewall just a little bit. Some have a 90 degree rubber elbow on the end of the tube. If it is just the plastic tube, without the elbow, then use either a wet/dry vac if you have one, or use a wire hanger to poke into the hole and try to remove whatever is blocking the drain. If you don't get it out, it might block it again later, or it might come out with the water. If you have the 90 degree rubber elbow, a quick trick is to squeeze it at the very end and roll it between your fingers to loosen the blockage. If that doesn't work, remove the elbow and clean it out, it will generally have the blockage in it. The elbow should have 2 pieces of wire sticking out, just squeeze these together and slide it off. Might have to give it a twist to get it to come loose. If you get the elbow off and water doesn't come rushing out, then clear the plastic tube, and check the elbow to be sure it isn't clogged.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for DIY hydroponics systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for DIY hydroponics systems.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for electrical wiring protection?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for electrical wiring protection. Plastic tubes, such as PVC or polyethylene conduits, are commonly used to encase electrical wires and provide insulation and protection from moisture, dust, and physical damage. They are a cost-effective and versatile option for protecting electrical wiring in various applications.
Q: Dad drags his tubing through the house and winds it by his bed at night; it can not be mounted high on the wall or on the ceiling. The cat will not do it when he is watching; it happens when he is sleeping or the excess tubing out of sight. Bitter Yuck and similar are not working.
If you cant get rid of the cat just ask your dad to lock it up in a cage or crate when he goes to sleep. Or if the cat does it other times when hes not asleep spray the cat with a water-vinegar solution until it learns.
Q: I'm building a computer and I got to the liquid cooling option and I can't decide between copper tubing and plastic tubing. I've seen plastic tubing and know that plastic is easier to detach, but I think copper might cool the components better. Any suggestions?(Note-this is not a budget build by any means-I want to know which one performs better, not what's the best bang for your buck)
Copper is better bang but needs to be bent for each component. Plastic is flexible and just needs to be cut to length
Q: The inner and outer walls are plastic, and the middle layer is steel
The rapid stress cracking phenomenon of the plastic pipe is overcome, and the rapid stress of the plastic pipe can not be overcome because the structure of the two kinds of plastic steel is compounded
Q: What is the minimum wall thickness for plastic tubes?
The minimum wall thickness for plastic tubes depends on various factors such as the type of plastic, the intended application, and the manufacturing process. However, in general, plastic tubes can have a minimum wall thickness ranging from 0.5mm to 1mm.
Q: What are the advantages of using plastic tubes in the industrial packaging industry?
There are several advantages of using plastic tubes in the industrial packaging industry. First, plastic tubes are lightweight, which makes them easy to handle and transport. Second, plastic tubes provide excellent protection for the contents inside, as they are resistant to impact, moisture, and other external factors. Additionally, plastic tubes can be customized to fit specific product requirements, making them versatile for various industries. Lastly, plastic tubes are cost-effective, as they are typically cheaper to produce compared to other packaging materials.
