Q:what are the grades of commercial aluminium?
If it is a product for work, yes engineers and purchasers specify the grades. If for hobby then it is up to you. Common extruded shapes (beams, tubes, angles) - 6061-T6 - 6063-T5 -T6 specifies tempering class. Actually both alloys come in various T4, T5, etc., the above are just two common combinations. 6061 is a little stronger, and T6 gets its strength up quite good. Beware that welded joints are weaker since heat removes the strength from tempering. Some common sheets - 6061 (strength) - 5052 (strength, welds better than 6xxx, good formability) - 5068 (some call it 'marine grade' for corrosion resistance) Sheets can come in many alloys.... you may get cheaper grades if you don't need one of these. (if you are casting - there's whole other system of grades.) The above are just common grades. For high strength requirement you may need a specific grade in the 7xxx family.
Q:Can I bake cheesecake in aluminium baking trays?
Should be fine
Q:How much cube is the 0.9mm aluminum rolling?
This is a common problem. Anyone who had received high school education can calculate it very quickily. One way is to calculate sectional area with circular area, then times the thickness of the aluminum rolling. Another way is to use the outer diameter circular area to subtract the core area and then times the thickness of aluminum rolling.
Q:What happened to the aluminum coil coming out of the annealing furnace?
There is oil on the aluminum coil and the annealing time is too long.
Q:Aluminum alloy coil quotation = = how much is the price?
Different alloy materials, different prices, but also with the thickness and width of a direct relationship!
Q:What would life be like without aluminum?
It would pretty much be the same. Although aluminum is a very useful metal, if it were non-existent, we would simply use other metals or plastics. Plastic is just as infinitely recyclable as aluminum and lighter. Copper, tin, and magnesium (or an alloy of these) could be substitute for aluminum in certain applications. Then there are all these new composite materials being developed, some of which are lighter and stronger then most metals, including aluminum.
Q:It is harmful for a budgie to take a bath in a aluminum pie tin?
Aluminum cookware/products that are in good condition aren't really a safety issue. That said, I'd be concerned about the birds chewing on the pie tin. Some of those tins can contain zinc which is very toxic to birds. I would suggest using something else just in case.
Q:Separating aluminum and copper on a radiator?
Does your scrapyard not have a good price for aluminum/copper radiators? Mine does. I Don't think you can separate them short of melting off the aluminum. The copper goes right through it. It would be a lot of work to separate them. Much more work than stripping copper wire. Before I take a load of scrap, I call all of the yards and get the best price. Sometimes this varies as much as $.50/pound on copper and radiators and brass and clean aluminum. Work with your phone, it will make you money. Last I checked, #1 copper 3.10/pound #2: 2.90, Radiators $1.50, Brass $1.40, Insulated copper wire $1.10 to $.90 Aluminum $.85 to $.55 dependingScrap Metal(steel). $9.00/100 Lets recycle Car batteries are $6 ea.
Q:Aluminum scraping in cookies?
If it's only a little bit then it will just not be digested and pass through your body and come out your rear end. It's fine, as long as you don't swallow something like a ball-bearing.
Q:A certain ionic compound is made entirely of aluminum and oxygen. What is the formula for this compound?
Aluminum Oxide Al2O3
