- Q:I have recently come into possession of a really good couch. The ONLY problem being is that it has stains on it, and smells a little. So right now I'm looking at ways to get stains out, make the suede look nicer, if not great, and get rid of the little tangy smell. More than likely, I'll eventually get a slipcover for it, but right now, I'd like it in a decent condition :)
- Your suede couch is actually made with a micro fiber material and will be a challenge for you to clean by your self. A pro would spray a gentle upholstery cleaner on to the fabric, work it in with a soft bristle brush, and then rinse and extract the soil and cleaning solution. The entire couch must be misted down to prevent water marks from forming as the fabric dries. The last step is to wipe the entire couch down with soft, white, terry cloth towels. Be careful not to allow pets on your furniture as they will leave dirt, hair, oil, and saliva on the fabric that will make future cleanings very difficult. Pet accidents are also deadly to couches, mattresses, etc., often resulting in the affected piece being tossed.

- Nope, it is great when a bunch of kids are over and I need an extra bed for them. Eddie has got the right idea I love having my own bedroom and all that new room that I HAD in the top of the closet that is now filled up with new shoes. All I have to do is get that damn chest of drawers of his out and I can make room for more shoes.

- I would try Rubbing alcohol and water, 1/4Th alcohol to 1/2 water. use in a place you don't see if it works your in business and you can increase the amount. This combination usually gets all stains out. I would follow with a steam cleaning.

- They have a spray you can purchase at the pet store that you can spray on your sofa to get them to stop. Also you can try this I did and it worked. Purchase one of those carpet pieces (About $3.00) and put it near where your cat is scratching, add some catnip to the carpet and they will start scratching on that instead.
- Q:My 2.5 yr old just had a huge accident on my microfiber sofa. I have a towel soaking it up but I don't know what to use on it now. It's a dark brown color, so stains usually don't show that much, but it was a LOT of pee. I can not take the cushions off. I just tried blotting it up with towels and then ran my Kerby vaccum over it. It's still very wet and I don't know if it worked. Any suggestions?
- Clear spray dettol will kill any bacteria and then just wash with cool water and towel dry. Microfibre fabrics are usually really very good to keep clean.
