- Q: I am installing a chair rail in a room with a window. When my chair rail meets the window, should I run it right below the window trim? Or should I give it some room between the rail and the trim of the window. I am painting one color below the rail and another color above the rail.Thanks for your help!
- Apart from just protecting walls from getting damaged by chair ends, chair rails also have a visual quality. When they meet window frames you should stop them and continue after the window. Someone has mentioned to frame the window as well, but that's additional expense and if you don;t want to do that you can end the chair rail near the window frame in a manner that will merge them with wall and window jam.

- Q: I am purchasing chair covers for my reception. My issue is to buy them only for head table and reserved tables or cover every chair. The chairs the hall have are plastic and better then metal, but I am unsure if I want to pay for all the chairs to be covered. Will it look funny if I do only a few tables to signify them as reserved?
- I dont think it would be weird, but if you want to only do it for the head table and then have place settings, that would be fine as well. My fiance's mother will have a special seat, as well as his father. That is because they are the parents. Everyone else has assigned seating, so special covers wont be needed. Ours at the head table are covered though.

- Q: Hi, i had a chair a long time ago that was the shape of a shallow bowl and was made of wicker and roughly 5 ft in diameter. I have found similar chairs called saucer chairs but none of them with an independent base or made of wicker. Also it had an independent cushion/pillow that sat in the wicker frame.I found one once and it had a strange name, anybody know what im talking about?

- Q: They are all in the same room and are in fairly close proximity to each other. Should I cover them all in the same fabric? Or cover the dining chairs in a solid pattern, and the bar stools in a complementing fabric? Thanks
- NavyBrat - I recently re-covered 6 kitchen chairs and 6 dining rom chairs. They are in separate rooms but visible to each other. I chose 2 different patterns with the same color profile. Different textures - the kitchen chairs have a much heavier texture tan the dining room chairs. I did a lot of shopping and found my fabric at a local remnant upholstery shop. I purchased 5 yards of fabric for $35. The original price on the fabric for the kitchen chairs was $30 per yard and the original price for the dining room fabric was $35 per yard. I do believe I got a great deal. 12 chair cushions for $35. Same color profile - different pattern, different texture. Good luck

- This was what my sis was wanting a few years ago. We looked at pricey chairs at Pier One and everywhere else. But what she got was a patio-type blue wicker-looking chair at Lowe's, and it was well under $50, and on sale. Home Depot or Walmart might also have them.
