Q: I have a Burnt Valve in my Ford 302 EFI Crown Victoria. I know that i will have to have machine work done to the head but im not even gonna mess around im going to just pull both my heads off since theres alot to remove to even get to the heads i Just need a list of parts that i'm gonna have to buy for this project
take the heads to your local automotive machine shop and have them do the valve job they will fix whats wrong with your heads.and for parts you will need a head set gasket kit from auto zone or summit racing, and new spark plugs wire's oil, antifreeze, belts water pump since you have the room to get to it now,
Q: Hi i have a 00 bmw 320d and am trying to find out information on puting a dump valve in, is it possible?, what type of dump valve? and how hard it would be to put in?? any help would be much appreciated.....Thanks!!

Q: i have a 1997 dodge avenger ES with a 2.5L v6. im wondering if my EGR Valve could be bad i get about 14mpg on gas. my car has a poor idle but will not stall idle gets kinda bad if the airconditing is on. I did a complete tune up and yes it was done right. and i changed my Idle air control valve. after i changed the valve i drove a few miles and i got a check engine light for insuffecient EGR flow but then it went away and never came back. I took the valve off and cleaned it with carb cleaner. im trying to find out why my ide is kinda poor and if the car sits a few days it takes a little longer to start.my motor has 142k miles but has been properly maintained.
The EGR must be closed at idle and open as you cross quicker. If your EGR have been caught closed, it could don't have any final result on driveability. If your EGR is caught open, probabilities are it in most cases may not idle for lengthy earlier than dieing. I could blank the MAF sensor placed simply after the air filter out. Use BrakeClean spray. You did not say whatever approximately the gas injectors. I could placed an injector cleanser within the tank (it would possibly not support however its inexpensive than exchanging them). You would dispose of the spark plugs and notice if any seem discolored indicating a persistant pass over. This would point out the cylinder or cylinders with disorders similar to plugged injector, dangerous coil, something.
Q: A friend of mine who is 26, was just told by her doctor that she has aenlarged heart valve. Is this really serious? Will she need surgery? Why can't I find any info on the internet? Please help I'm really worried. Thanks
I am a CCMA Look up the word Cardiomyopathy. This is the Medical Terminology for an Enlarged Heart Valve and Yes it is VERY serious. Best Wishes
Q: How do you repack an osy valve? Where do you get the packing from? Do you have to shut down the water to do it?
For most valves, replacing the packing can be done without shutting down the water system. The first step is to back seat the valve. Back seating will occur when the valve is fully opened, and will temporarily seal the leak around the stem. You simply open the valve completely with about 50-100ft-lb of pressure. Once the leaking has stopped, you can remove the packing bolts and nuts on the packing gland. Slide the packing gland up the stem and you will have access to the packing. You may need a packing hook, which is a flexible corkscrew tool, to help remove the old packing. Once you have removed the old packing you will want to repack the valve with new packing by wrapping it around the stem and pushing it down into the valve body. After the new packing has been replaced, it may need to be compressed a little so that the packing gland can be reinstalled. This can be done using two pieces of all-thread rod. Cut both all-thread rods to 6 inches long, making sure to use the same diameter all-thread rod as your packing bolts. Place the all-thread rod through the packing gland and tighten the nuts onto the all-thread rod to compact the packing in the valve. Next, remove the all-thread rod and replace with the bolts. Turn the hand wheel, so the valve is about half way open. Finally, tighten the nuts evenly until all leakage around the stem stops. You may need to exercise the valve a few times to make sure there are no leaks around the stem. Be careful not to over tighten the gland because it can crack and there is no reason to compress the packing more than is needed to stop the leak.
Q: Can a dirty or faulty EGR valve cause overheating. My 2001 PT Cruiser is overheating but only on very hot days and when the air conditioning is on. Back flushed and pressure tested the radiator, changed the thermometer, fluid was low but doesn't seem to be loosing fluid since refilled. Check engine light came on and indicated poor air flow through the EGR valve. Is it worth replacing prior to pulling the radiator to check that for the problem with overheating? Mechanic I trust doesn't think the EGR can cause overheating.
I don't know the answer either but my 2006 Pontiac Torrent has been overheating when I drive long distance or when I come to a stop with the engine running. When the vehicle is moving the temperature goes back down. Today I just saw that the metal pipe leading from the EGR sensor to the engine was bent to the point it may be closed. I'm not saying that is the problem but I'm suspisious. Prior to noticing the bent pipe, I flushed the engine and changed the thermostat but still the same problem.
Q: the air valve, how does it propel a paintball in a blowback operated paintball gun how does the size/shape/?? of the valve impact how fast the paintball shoots?
The majority of blowback paintball guns use a pin valve, which is opened when struck by the hammer. The hammer is held in the back position, with the spring compressed, by a sear. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer is propelled forward by the spring, into the valve. These sorts of markers generally use a “stacked tube” design, in which the valve and hammer is contained in the lower tube, while the bolt, which is connected to the hammer, is in the upper tube. The gas released by the valve is then simultaneously channeled up to the bolt to fire the paintball, and back to push the hammer back into the ****** position (hence the name “blowback”). Poppet valves are usually easy to replace and require little, if any, maintenance. The downside to this design, however, is its high operating pressure, which leads to a larger recoil and arguably less accuracy. The valve is usually designed to accommodate a specific operating pressure. Low pressure valves provide quieter operation and increased gas efficiency when tuned properly. However, excessively low pressure can decrease gas efficiency as dramatically as excessively high pressure. The volume of gas released by the valve directly affects the paintball's velocity. The velocity adjuster alters the pretension on the hammer spring which controls how long the pin valve is held open for, or more correctly how much gas must be released to push it back into the ****** position. EDIT - Sorry but wouldn't even know where to start on designing a valve.
Q: I've been working on cars since around march of 2012. I new. I have a set of 305 heads that were really dirty. It came from a 79 camaro that never had an Oil change. I took the valves out and the valves are pretty burnt. I was wondering If I cleaned them up would they still be good to use? The edges aren't rough or anything. Just let me know what is need to know please. The heads I know are still good.

Q: I have a Ford Explorer 4x4 2004 model. The check engine light soon has been on for two to three weeks, I finally got it checked and they said i need my ERG valve cleaned. They quoted it for around 50 bucks, which is fine. However, i dont get paid until a week from now. Will it be alright until then? What are the effects of a dirty/faulty ERG valve if not taken care of??There are not sputtering or anything abnormal that i can tell..Thanks.
The term is E G R Valve. Stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve. This valve Recirculates exhaust fumes back into the intake of the engine to burn the fumes 2 times.
Q: Hi guys, my parents had me install a new faucet in their kitchen sink. It works great and everything, but after the install the hot water pressure basically decreased greatly. The cold water pressure is fine, but I believe after I had turned off the hot water at the shutoff valve, something in the valve got messed up and is blocking the water supply.
Copper pipes are usually soldered. You might want to call a plumber for this.
