Product feather

solar panel refers to a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating.

A photovoltaic (in short PV) module is a packaged, connected assembly of typically 6×10 solar cells. Solar Photovoltaic panels constitute the solar array of a photovoltaic system that generates and supplies solar electricityin commercial and residential applications. Each module is rated by its DC output power under standard test conditions, and typically ranges from 100 to 365 watts. The efficiency of a module determines the area of a module given the same rated output – an 8% efficient 230 watt module will have twice the area of a 16% efficient 230 watt module. There are a few solar panels available that are exceeding 19% efficiency. A single solar module can produce only a limited amount of power; most installations contain multiple modules. A photovoltaic system typically includes a panel or an array of solar modules, a solar inverter, and sometimes a battery and/or solar tracker and interconnection wiring.

Q: What is the main material for making solar panels?
You can also according to their own needs, according to the power to buy a good package of solar photovoltaic products.
Q: I'm curious to know if the small solar panels on a calculator (ie TI-32) could produce a voltage similar to what is used in a single-use (disposable) camera, approximately 4V.
It isn't Volts that matter if you're trying to put the calculator solar panel on the camera. It would be the amps. The calculator's solar panel will put out however many volts or very close to what the battery puts out. If you want you can test it out with a Volt/Ammeter. You see, those cameras use 2 double A batteries. They are going to put out a higher current than the small dime shaped battery in the back of your calculator; a higher voltage perhaps too. Those disposable cameras have a photo flash capacitor in them that has to charge. You can hear them charge up when you tell it to turn on the camera's flash. Sounds like a winding then the little orange light comes on. That light means the capacitor is charged. You SHOULDN'T be able to change out the batteries in the camera with a solar panel from a calculator without having to wait days for that flash capacitor to charge. Sorry. EDIT: HOWEVER, you can take multiple solar panels and wire them in a parallel circuit to get more current(amperes) or wire them in a series circuit to get a higher voltage. If you were to do this you could power whatever you wanted with them. Even your house if you were to get a rectifier to convert the power from DC to AC.
Q: i want to go off grid with solar panels but i need to know how many vots and watts i need to power my house
you must consider what electrical appliances you want to use, eg. do you have an electric stove? clothes dryer? air conditioner? heater? watts are watts, solar panels are used to create d.c. electricity which is stored in batteries then inverted to a.c. household electricity the d.c. batteries are usually 36 to 48 volts then this is converted to 20 volt a.c. when you figure out the watts being consumed in your household you size your batteries and inverter to these requirements. on your current electric bill you should see a charge for kwh, kilowatt hours= watts in thousands x hours. If you use 25 kwh per month your house is using 35 watts per hour x 720 hours in a month. you would then want sol.ar panels that charge at least 70 watts per hour because roughly half of the day it's dark depending on where you live December is even less of course in the northern hemisphere. Your batteries need to have capacity to hold a days worth of power, batteries are rated in amp hours, amp hours x volts = watt hours. I hope this points you in the right direction. All of this being said be sure to buy your system from a reputable dealer, someone with experience and good references. I am an electrician and have seen systems put in that are completely worthless because they were not sized properly and It sucks to see that someone paid $30k or more for something that is completely useless, it sucks even more when they ask me to help them and I say pay another $30k to up size the system to what they need. Remember you don't get anything for nothing so be prepared to spend money initially and be prepared to be live very energy conscious in your day to day life. Good luck
Q: I want to make 2V 4.5A solar panel to charge my battery used in my RC car project. I just like to know how should I amplify the current for 4.5A. I need the total circuit diagram. Can anyone help me. Please. I need some affordable methods please.
Have okorder / . It could obviously explain everybody!
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a shipping container?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a shipping container. In fact, many people and businesses are now utilizing shipping containers as a platform for solar installations due to their portability and ease of installation.
Q: I have an inverter and a battery 20 Amperes.Daily sun shine approx. 7 Hours.Do I need to buy anything or should I connect the solar panel to the Battery direct?
connect the solar panel to the Battery direct during the day time that's how it works in ALL situations !
Q: I need a solar panel which can light up 4 full loaded 5 rooms appartment houses
good idea going solar, i would suggest doing a google search, as their are many suppliers. then you need to calculate the amount of wattage you think these apartment houses are going to require. volts x amps = watts. if you are going to be off of the power grid, then you will need a way to store excess energy during good times,( lots of sun) in order to use it during bad times ( no sun ). or see if you are able to sell your extra power back to your local power company, check because some companies do not allow this. you could even have a generator for emergencies if you go off the power grid. on final note, solar is a pretty sizable investment up front and your profits are seen mainly in the long run, but you will get energy savings immediately, but more likely those savings will go to paying off the solar panels also, you will need a converter to convert the ac (alternate current) produced by the panels into dc ( direct current ) which is used by the apartments. it will tie in to the existing electrical system in the apartments. i know germany is really pushing solar energy and they offer their citizens some pretty sweet deals to go solar. the companies are profiting from this so i would suggest looking for a supplier in germany, first. they may have better deals, or try bp (british petroeum) they have been in the solar business for awhile. i wish you success!
Q: I got a really great deal on 2 houses because they were fixer-uppers. I'm living in one and the other I'm renting out. However, the previous owner did everything himself in 950 95, so needless to say, things are not to todays standards. Both houses need rewiring (there are no ceiling lights, few outlets, and mine has two old fuse boxes and the other has a breaker box but it pops the breaker a lot). The only reason they are still functional is because both houses use natural gas for water and heat, so otherwise, they electrical work is getting us by, but who knows for how long. I thought that maybe instead of redoing the electric, that I could just add solar panels to compensate for the small electric boxes. Also, since I would have to hire electricians to do all the work, which would be more cost effective (not including the decrease in utilities since I don't pay the utilities in the rental anyways)?
No. solar panels would not solve your problems and are usually not cost effective. Solar panels will not help to compensate for undersized electrical service. You would still have to upgrade the existing service. Once that is done you should have no problems and all the electricity you need would come from your power company. Have an electrician come out and do an inspection and tell you what all needs upgrading. Solar panels would save you money on the monthly power bill but the cost to install them would be higher than your savings. If it made economic sense to have solar power then everybody would be doing it. That's why you see very few houses with solar panels on top.
Q: are there solar panel that work without the sun?
Yes and no, all solar panels can work without the sun but they mainly would not work without sunlight.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on waste treatment plants?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on waste treatment plants. In fact, many waste treatment plants are increasingly adopting solar energy systems to reduce their reliance on traditional energy sources and lower their carbon footprint. Solar panels can be installed on the rooftops or open land areas of these plants, providing a sustainable and renewable source of electricity for their operations.
