I like using old blankets and comforters from my house and family. Everyone has them, old stained ones from kids and also when they are just plain ugly. Your dog won't care, plus, they're easier to care for than bought dog beds. I don't think it's anything to do with dirty sheets? Bed bugs are transferred from other people or Beds. You can pick up bed bugs from Public transport or sleeping in a bed that already has them? You could stay in a Hotel and pick up Bed bugs from someone who has slept in the bed before and then you take them home to your house and it then breeds.
