Q:I bought a sidekick phone from t-mobile in the states. and I was wondering since it says that it's a quadband phone and unlocked, if I could use it in germany?? aren't quadband phones suppose to work everywhere in the world? could I just put a SIM card from a german provider in my phone once I get there?will it work??thx
Yep, will work. I did the same with my three-band mobile phone from the states. I also bought it from T-mobile. I am German and was in the states for some time, loved my phone and took it back home, put my old sim-card in from my prepaid phone -works! No problem, other than the language I have on my phone is English now, and T9 for texting won't work with texts in German, as the vocabulary I would need to teach my phone exceeds the capacity. So I type my texts manually. But what the heck. Phone works.
Q:Can i download backgrounds and ringtone from my computer to my virgin mobile Aloha phone? If I can how do i do it? Please and thanks!
I don't think it can be done. And if it can be, not very easily. Here's why. Virgin Mobile makes great cheap phones. But they come at a different price. They intentionally limit (nice way of saying cripple) the phone in certain ways to prevent phone unlockers from taking these cheap phones and putting them on other phone networks like Metro PCS or Cricket. Virgin Mobile along with Tracfone both sell cheap phones and are famous for suing big time phone unlockers. And often winning the lawsuits too. To prevent unlockers from hacking their phones , one of the most common things they do is limit user access to the phone by limiting usb cable connections, bluetooth and other data port connections between the phones and pcs ( usb cable connections is one of the most common ways to flash/unlock a phone). The Aloha might be an exception but I don't think so because it is a cheaper model. (Virgin doesn't want some company buying up hundreds of Alohas at Best Buy or whatever and reflashing them and reselling them for a big profit at Virgin Mobile's expense.) They spend a lot protecting their lower end stuff. Kind of ironic really .
Q:Hey guys. Dad is buying me a new mobile phone, and it must be a Nokia, that is 3G (more specifically capable on running on 3 Mobile Australia) and not overly expensive (OKorder pricing, probably a lot more in retailers). No real preferences at the moment, but I have seen Nokia 6120 / 6121 Classic, Nokia 6500 Slide.Thank you for your help!
Well, Its your decision on how you appreciate mobile phone features. I suggest that you can also make a review of which phone will suit you. Nokia 6120 is in a candy bar form. Candy bar form is the most durable because it doesn't have any moving or movable external parts exept from camera lens protector. But they are quite longer. Nokia 6500 Slide is a Slider form. There are circumstances that the screen part may scratch the keypad, just like mine.(so Ibuy a new 6500 slide), but you can prevent this slide issue by simply sliding it slowly and with care. Nokia 6120 uses the Symbian OS While the nokia 6500 slide uses the S40 5th edition OS. I'd rather choose S40 5th edition OS because it is faster in any way and relatively easy to use. Well, Camera features This is the one that I love About the nokia 6120, Im so sory to tell that it's image wuality is some what poor. It's not an ideal in well lit scenes. It lacks Autofocus, which is greatly needed in macro shots. All the camera Features is available in nokia 6500 slide, surprisingly. Also, Nokia 6500 slide have the 3.20 megapixel camera, as opposed to nokia 6120 2.0 megapixel camera. Nokia 6120 price will range from 150 up to 200 euro, same as nokia 6500 slide. as for me, if you will ask, ill choose nokia 6500 slide because it is a good phone in its range and it is a bit economically cheaper for its nearly- complete features.
Q:I was just recently promoted to a Mobile Phones Consultant at work. I am a great sales person, but I do not have much knowledge on cell phones. What are some websites than can help me prepare for this position? I start in two weeks! Thank you.

Q:I recently got a t-mobile samsung t509 phone. I unlocked it to use it for cingular. I am wondering if there is a way to change the t-zone and internet settings to cingular settings.
Nope. Sorry to tell you that T-Mobile has made their phones to have the T-zone dafault in there. You cannot change it. I have tried it with some of my Samsung Tmobile phones. Its imposible. The only way out of this is re-flash the phone with the samsung firmaware not Samsung -tmobile firmware.
Q:I have a T-Mobile HP Phone Pocket PC thing and I use cingular. Can they unlock the phone to work with cingular?
yup you can get it unlocked but it can be expensive if you get it unlocked I'd say about $50 or so hope this helps :D
Q:how can i add windows6.1 to my mobile phone
it is not possible to install windows on ur phone as each phone has its own designed os though many would look the same . therefore u have to get a phone with windows 6.1 to use it .
Q:i have a vmobile phone,and i want a different virgin mobile phone.can i keep my current phone number?!?!?!?!?!?help????all answers r aprreciated
i don't know the answer specifically but i used to have virgin mobile and then i switched to verizon and it let me keep the number. my best guess is yes you can keep your number, but you should ask about it before buying a new phone
Q:I have a Virgin Mobile phone with me that has bad ESN and i was wondering if it will just expire after an amount of time and if it does how long would it take?
Easy answer. If the phone has been reported lost, the ESN stays bad, until the original owner clears it. If the phone has been reported, the ESN stays bad until the original owner clears it. If the phone was under contract and the contract was broken, and ETF was not paid, the ESN stays bad until the original owner or the new owner pays the ETF and or final bill. I don't know very many second had owners stupid enough to pay the original owners final bill or ETF. But of which are often more than the phone is worth. But if the original owner pays it, no big deal. So as you note the THEME here, it's forever, unless the original owner who the phone was registered to, calls in or goes into a Virgin Mobile store WITH ID, to take care of whatever reason the phone's ESN is considered BAD.
Q:How many mm of lead do you need to block the radiation from a regular mobile(cell) phone ?
You don't need much. Honestly, the radiation from the phone is non-ionizing radiation. The radioactive materials from cigarettes have more energy. Why tobacco takes a lot of stuff from the soil including the naturally occurring radioactive materials.
