Q:Im applying going for a pre apprenticeship next month and I‘m not sure which one to choose from, electrician or wall and floor tiling? Tiling is very hard on your knees and back. I would go for the electrician job. In America heat and air conditioning pays the best by far. Good luck! Let us know what you decide.

Q:I want to install a towel hook in my bathroom, but it is all ceramic tile, including the walls. Adhesive doesn‘t work. Is there any way to put screws in the tile with out cracking the tiles? Thanks.

You have to drill holes, using a masonry bit, thru the tile, and use an anchor of some sort. Best would be some sort of toggle bolt thru the drywall itself. A plastic expansion anchor would suffice. Any force on the tile itself, may cause eventual breakage.

Q:i going to tile my whole house both floors bath room and all with the same tile it is a 20x20 tile diagonally where should i start and does it really matter where ?

Start doing the largest area and do a 1/2 tile on the out side wall. All interior walls are supposed to be layed out to the out side and be square. Now if you have a long visible hall way near by, you may want to split that to get a good look at it from there. Its hard to positively say with out seeing it. I could visualize it then. Since this is a diagonal you cant control to much where the tiles land. If it were a straight lay, you d have a bit more control as to the layout. Q:Kitchen is open to living area. Kitchen has tile already and living room has carpet. We want replace carpet wit hardwood if it look right, or should we just tile it all. Entry way from frony door is tile then living room begins with carpet then kitchen begins with tile.

There is a product called the Bona Hardwood Floor Mop as well... it is a hardwood flooring cleaner but there are other cartridges you can purchase that is a tile flooring cleaner to attach to the mop! I love the Bona! Maybe you'll like it too! I have both cleaners for the Bona, hardwood and tile... they're amazing!

Q:we ‘tiled‘ one wall and it was our original plan to do just that one.but now,a lot of tile has been not used (of what we bought) and the shopkeeper wouldn‘t take it back.what should we do?we can‘t do an entire another wall because we don‘t have that much tile but,it‘s still a lot.pleease help :)

Q:We are planning small home improvements during the next year to prepare our house for sale. I would like to switch out our 4 year old formica countertop and replace it with granite tile. A slab is out of the question due to cost. We have a small kitchen and would need about 40 tiles. When I looked on the internet for costs, it seems I can get these tiles for under $300.00? Does that sound right, I think that‘s less than what we paid for the Formica. Also, my next question is can you use the same tile for the entryway, which is next to the kitchen, or it that a little too much of the same thing?

Q:i;m going to install a medallion and i need to cut circle on four tiles. is there anything else besides a hand grinder that will do the job, ( cheap) i don‘t want to spend 300$$ just to cut 4 tiles to make a circle for the medallion to fit. thanks
