- Perm Press is the compromise cycle between Regular Wash and Gentle Cycle. It's a little gentler than the regular wash and a little rougher than the Gentle Cycle. I never use it. :) In fact, I never use anything but the regular cycle. Hope this helps. -

Avery claims the world will be saved from disaster by chemical pesticides, intensive agriculture and banning organic foods. I haven't made this up, Google them and see for yourself their somewhat questionable backgrounds and dubious claims. A good rule of thumb - if Singer and Avery say X then the answer must be Y.

- Hi. Since you are a female it is very hard for you to gain muscle. It seems to be a very common misunderstanding among women that if they start to lift weight they will become very muscular. For a variety of reasons this is not the case. You can do leg presses without any worries, they are also good for your buttocks. You should also train other muscles in your body, that will increase your metabolism as well as adding to your overall health and symmetry. It does not matter how much you lift if you want to lose fat, that has with your diet to do!! Eat a well balanced diet. For about 4-6 days eat a little less than you need to maintain weight, the next 4-6 days eat enough to maintain weight and then repeat until the desired bodyweight has been reached. Stick the 12-15 rep range as that will target your red muscle cells (they can burn fat). Good luck!

- You can use tissues or sheets of tissue paper, as well. There are two ways of doing it, either inside the pages of the book, or between two heavy books. Either way, put tissue down under the flower, and above the flower as well. Don't try to do a group of flowers together, as they get all tangled, and it will look better if you do them separately. It's important that you lay the flower down carefully, because once it gets shaped, you cannot go back and shape it again. I suggest bending the stem right where it meets the blossom so that the blossom can lie pretty much flat. Simply lay down a layer of tissue, then your carefully shaped flower, then another layer of tissue. It doesn't matter if you do it inside a book, or between two books, but you need to stack other books or a heavy weight over the top so that flower actually gets pressed. The amount of time it takes for it to press varies by flower, and they aren't usually considered pressed until a lot of the moisture has dissipated from the flower. I would leave them in your makeshift press for at least a month before checking on them. Take a look at the end of a month, and if it isn't pressed really well, don't pick it up, just put the weight back on top. You will know when it is properly pressed because it will hold it's shape, and you will be able to handle it without ruining the shape. Good luck.

- Permanent Press is for a regular cycle warm wash...you should have this setting it just might not say PP...so wash in warm and then use a warm cycle on your dryer. You can use a delicate cycle just put in half the amount of clothes as you would in a regular load so that the delicate cycle can clean them.[ Obviously you'll use half the amount of detergent as well.] You can also use a cold water regular cycle which is what I do ,the clothes come out just as clean and it saves me tons of money not using warm water.Just make sure you a warm setting on your dryer not hot! Also clothes that are PP can be hung out to dry if you immediately remove me from washer they won't wrinkle.
