- Q:My six year old son is wanting bunk beds for Christmas, I was just wondering if you could use twin mattresses on the beds instead of those bunkie board pad things. The bed we are gonna purchase come with slats as a foundation for the mattresses. I just want it to be safe cause his brother which is 2 hopefully will start sleeping on the bottom bunk.
- You should be able to get your choice of several diff beds For instance if the children are small then you may want to go with 1 piece bunkies then when they get bigger in a few years you could get the bunkies with the base boards separate. then in a few more years you could go with deluxe bunkies and use the same base boards or go with 3/3 mattress and box springs when they are teens by that time they will not want them stacked anymore. Get some well built bunk beds and they will last till college and beyond.Before the beds ever go on they put these steel wire braces underneith the bunkies so the chances of them falling through are pretty slim.

- It may be the particular bed. But it's not good to go to those things daily. You'll end up looking like shoe leather.
- Q:My brother taught our dog to go up on beds. The dog is a Yorkie. She needs to be picked up to be on the bed. I don't really like her on my bed. Especially since she has fleas and seems to not be able to get rid of them. :/ any suggestions to get her to not want to be on the bed? - you could try putting her bed on your bed for a while and coaxing her in it with treats then slowly over a week or so work her and the bed on to the floor next to the bed. but in my opinion if you can get rid of the little fleas i would let her sleep with you i say this because im a believer in letting a small doggy sleep with you if they seem to be feeling insecure. my little one sleeps with us every night and has since we got her 10 years ago

- Keep her off the bed. She might be planning to have her puppies on the bed. Pregnancy does weird things. What does your breeding mentor and all the research you did before allowing her to breed say? Edit. I see you have plans to go to Florida by plane next month. They will need to be postponed for quite some time if you have a pregnant dog. You are the owner of that dog, and should be there for the birth. Not put it on someone else to have to deal with. A responsible owner stays with the dog for the whole pregnancy, whelping, and puppy rearing until puppies go to their new homes. Otherwise get a spay/abort done on Monday if you aren't going to be with the dog the whole process.

- When you see your dog chewing the bed scold her and then give her something else to chew on such as rawhide or a toy. When she chews a toy, praise her. That might help with managing her chewing. As she gets older she will most likely stop chewing.

- to keep them off the bed you need to reduce the numbers around the bed..thoroughly clean the bed frame and around the room with the vacuum, use a residual spray along baseboards, place out the flat sticky traps around the bed
