Q:I've tried various vacuums through the years but none seem to do well on the edges of the carpet. Anyone tried a really good one for that?: I went out and got a shark dustbuster and it works gets around areas like that. It comes with a attachment that gets everything up i love it.

Q:I have two carpet cleaners and wish to utilize both. It is easier to keep both extraction tanks separate as they are than to combine them somehow. I might go ahead and run them in series, but I'd like some ideas. Thanks: He/she is trying to utilize two vacuum cleaners to increase the power of the suction. In theory two vacuums in parallel would increase the VOLUME of air and dirt sucked. Placing them in series would increase the pressure sucked but would likely reduce the volume.

Q:Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?: I bought a Guardian Aerus Electrolux. The Electrolux at Sears is a Fancy Kenmore with the Electrolux label. The true Electrolux has to have the Aerus Logo. Check with dealers. At first I loved mine but then it started losing suction. I had it serviced but it was never the same. I would recommend the SEBO it is a hospital grade vacuum and I like it SOOO much better! I have three kids with allergies and a dog... I had to have a good vacuum and I have owned Kirbie's, Electrolux, Stand up traded it up right away, for the Guardian, after a few years hated it it was bulky and lost suction, traded up for a Sebo and WOW I love it... And it is a stand up. But the suction is just as good as a canister.. Usually Canisters have more suction.... My mother also loves her Sebo and she has 4 dogs. We are corky and one day bored we argued over who had the better vacuum... Needless to say she won... I used the Guardian and then she went over the same spot with the Sebo and I was impressed on how much stuff she was able to pick up!!!

Q:*Is there: Blowing air into it is one way, but I took my vacuum and a brush attachment and sucked the dust OUT of it. Seemed more logical. I did the same with the innards that you can access with just a screw driver, because the were pretty dusty, too. When you blow dust around, it just ends up somewhere else, sucking it out is more foolproof IMO.

Q:I have a 1933 hoover 800. It needs the bearings greased really badly. And I have no idea how to do it.: since it is antique i would suggest that you try to find a good service center to take it to to be fixed.

Don't buy anything smaller! Also, I prefer the bagless, costs less to use it in the long run! Go to an Appliance Repair shop, they have all kinds of Reconditioned(rebuilt) vacuums, and most of those have the same warranty as a new one!!!
