Performance

the window profiles also known as frames are made of upvc the new age framing material rated far better than wood and aluminium the world over Upvc windows now have all the ingredients needed in window frame .thermal insulation, weather endurance, UV resistance, strength, termite resistance fire Retardant properties, low maintenance, aesthetics and finish are all benefits of upvc windows.Upvc or unplasticised poly vinyl chloride is a product of Natural resources fifty seven percent salt and forty three percent oil. The manufacture of upvc requires minimal use of energy far less than the energy spent on the manufacture of aluminium or steel. Because, of the way these windows are designed and built today all that should filter through is sunlight no dust or Pollution or noise should pass through the upvc window .this window system should be air and watertight if it is installed correctly

Thermal insulation and energy saving

Upvc windows have better thermal insulation properties than aluminium in an air conditioned room a properly designed window made of upvc can actually save thirty percent energy this is the expert view of Professor NK Bansal author of energy efficient windows. Professor Bansal defines an energy efficient window as one that consists of a heat insulating framing material, double glazed and proper sealing between the wall and window.

Sound insulation

Noise pollution is a major urban problem, noise enters your home through cracks in your walls and gaps in your windows but test have shown that noise pollution can be reduced as much as thirty five decibels after installing upvc windows.

Wind load

tall buildings need special windows that can with stand in accordance with British standards upvc windows should withstand 1200 Pascal’s or wind gusts of one hundred and sixty kilometres per hour with negligible deflection

Manufacturing process

The heat transfer coefficient of each specifications are as follows.

Three-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.7W/m2.K、
Four-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.6W/m2.K;
Five-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.5W/m2.K;

During the manufacturing process of the raw materials heat stabilisers are added for material preservation, impact modifiers for toughness, UV stabilizers for resistance against fading and lubricants and oils for better extrusion .the process of manufacturing then continues onto fabrication which is a ten step process of precision engineering. This process includes cutting the frames to length, routing for hinges and locks, reinforcement fitting .this is when the steel reinforcement is installed inside the extruded Upvc frame, fusion welding. This process involves the pre-cut frames with the reinforced steel already installed being placed into a special fusion welding jig, immense heat and pressure welds the corners together, corner cleaning. This process removes the excess welded material known as flash, assembly .rubber seals are added at this point then glazing and then final assembly before packaging. The manufacture of precision engineered upvc windows is only the first step the other is installation

Q:Hi there,My apartment is getting so cold. Since I can feel the cold air coming in through the windows I decided to buy a plastic kit that may help me on this situation. When I read on the back it says that it can not be done on drywall (there are not frames around the windows just the draywall). Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.
Install heavy drapes on each window. This will cut down the draft. If the windows are in that bad shape you should ask your landlord to replace them.
Q:I have a Renault Clio authentique 1.2L and it has electric windows....there is a plastic clip attached to the back of the glass that i presume keeps the glass coming up and down at the right angle but it comes up really slowly and some times not at all....i think it has something to do either with the plastic clip or it needs more lubrication.....any help is appreciated. Cheers
im my bmw 740il my rear left window does the same i replaced the moter for the winmdow for cheap and it works fine now i hope its nuthing big but if u do not know what else to do go to auto zone of napa and ask one of the workers they will help out
Q:My old plastic window is very old and it turned yellow form being under the sunI tried clenning it and nothing would work
Any shop that specializes in convertible tops should carry plastic window material.
Q:I just had my 30 yr old storm windows replaced with nice double pain, double glazed, argon filled windows in November. HUGE IMPROVEMENT! But now that i am used to comfort level and energy savings that these windows have made to my home. I find myself looking for the tiny amounts of cool air that penetrates into my home. And I still have this habit of wanting to put plastic over my windows. Do you think adding the plastic now would be overkill? Or would the energy savings still out way the cost of the plastic this first week on January?
sit back and relax. if you have extra money you want to spend, i cuold use new windows in my house. you may want to find a hobby to take your mind off puting plastic over everything. HAVE A GREAT '08!
Q:I put up fly nets with adhesive velcro strips (were included in the package) on my plastic window frames. That was last year. The glue on the velcro has now turned to dust (literally) leaving dark, pinkish black stains on the white plastic where the sun hit the velcro. Is there any way to remove or bleach these stains? I tried chlorine but that didn't work.
You can get rid of the glue residue with Goo Gone. Wipe on. Let sit for about a half an hour. Then scrub with a plastic dish scrubber and wipe off with wet paper towels. Good luck. -
Q:97 Wrangler soft top. I scratched the plastic up and would like to polish it out. Any tips?
I've had some luck with Meguiars Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish, if the scratches are not too deep.
Q:I don't know why house windows are made with glass instead of plastic
Plastic is more porous so glass is a better weatherproof material.
Q:Their made of hard plastic and are privacy panels
Like privacy screen? We have that on one side of our deck. I've also seen what appears to be sheet plastic on entire porches and then they call it a Florida room. Of course I live in FL so that may have something to do with it.
Q:Every fall we put plastic on the outside of our windows to provide added insulation during the winter. The plastice we use is said to be clear but isnt. It always ends up that we cant see out the windows all winter. It really sucks. Does anyone know of an insulating plastic that is trully clear and will allow us to actually see out the windows?
Use pure clear garbage bags and double sided tape on the inside of the windows, only cut out the center part of the bag or sheet, and tape the loose part down what it will look like is a picture frame, leaving you your window to look out but smaller. The part that leaks around a window is the frame and where the glass meets the frame,
Q:i am doing this investigatory project about different kinds of windows and im testing the difference between glass and plastic windows and i found that plastic windows make the room hotter than glass windows. Why is this so? what is in both these materials that causes this result? what are they made of and what contributes to this result? please help me. i need this by tomorrow!!!:(
It has to do with how well the material conducts energy. Plastic is probably a better insulator which means it does not transfer energy well. Glass is also an insulator but maybe it isn't as good of an insulator. Try doing more research on the conductive/heat transfer properties of glass vs. plastic.
