I figured it would be on the Better Homes Gardens web site, but it isn't, and I couldn't find it any where else on line. Also...would cubed steak taste better than mini hot dogs with the blue cheese and bacon?: Well I see you were given the recipe. I have another suggestion for you. Whenever this has happened to me while waiting in a doctors office, if there's an article that I want to finish reading, etc. I just ask the receptionist if I can take the magazine home with me. They've never said no before. I also like to return the favor by taking my own read magazines and giving them to my doctors offices to add to their collection. Not only am I returning the favor but the magazines are put to good use, a lot better than throwing them away. (my trash company doesn't offer those recycle bins)

Q: Hi I'm trying to create a mini home garden of veggies like spinach, lettuce varieties, cherry tomatoes, basil chives ..etc. And some flowersMy little seedlings are growing well the have just germinated and are sproutingBut in some pots I didn't use pots with holes in the bottom simply because I didn't find any good ones is this going to affect my plants?! What can I do to get around it? I am worried about the nitrogen stacking up in the soilAnother thing is do u have any ideas for sprouts o leaves that are edible, a nice quick harvest and that can grow in small pots like beansprouts for example.. Why are they so hard to find?: I get 15% off since my husband is Military, they offer it if you ask for it, but you have to show valid military id to get it. You can also get a movers pack that the post office gives out and included in that pack is discount coupons for Home Depot, I believe it's also 15%.

Q: how do i start a fruit and vegetable garden, my backyard is all grass?: There are several ways. I do it by scoring the turf with my shovel and then digging it up in squares. I dump on bagged topsoil mixed with my compost and then plant away! I use the turf to build walls and berms in other areas of my yard, or I compost it. I have also done another method where I layered wet newspaper, bagged composted cow manure and bark mulch, right on top of the grass, covered it with dark plastic and left it for one year. It made a beautiful 4 X 13 foot flowerbed and that's where I grow my roses.

Q: Do the plants get enough sunlight or are there just certain plants in a walled garden?: My friend in Scotland has a walled garden he made last year and the walls are different types of latice boards. I tried to put it on photobucket but sorry that was just too confusing to me. His plants get plenty of sunlight and shade and is absolutely beautiful.

Q: Thank you!A best answer will be chosen!: They have some good ones (such as by Sunset Press, Rodale Press, and Better Homes and Gardens) just inside the front entrance to hardware giants like Lowe's and Home Depot. There is one by Ortho for water gardening that I just love! I bought it at either a Borders, Barnes and Nobel or Walden Books. Just look for the Gardening section, find an easy chair, and you'll be there for awhile. Too, sometimes the bigger nurseries send out colorful booklets in the Spring to their former customers or the ones on their mailing list. Perhaps you can pick up one of these. They're great for quick identification of various plants plus info as to individual sun/shade requirements, height and spread, price, etc.
