Q:Where can I buy a replacement power cable for my ps3? I can't find one anywhere.?
This is a pretty standard AC power cord - at least in the US. Most desktop computers use the same 3-wire configuration.
Q:Hi! I want to buy I new Hard Drive but I've got a problem. I have the IDE conector but I don't have the Power Cable. It is connected to my Video Card. Can I add a new one? Can I use a power cable from a optical drive(CD/DVD)? Thanks!
All you need to do is pop down to your local computer store and get a power splitter, just make sure you get the right type, IDE and SATA drives have a different kind of power connector, so just make 100% sure before you buy!
Q:How to choose the type of street lamp cable specifications, anxious
Horizontal laying of the cable within the cable, generally do not need fixed, natural laying can be. Vertical laying section of the cable within the bridge, with the need to match the line card, the use of tied rope (multi-purpose single insulated wire) one by one fixed cable, fixed spacing should meet the requirements. According to the control cable and the power of the different layers of laying, if the power cable to be multi-layer need to have 300mm spacing (or load capacity is large enough), if it is control cable, casually laying, if the laying of power cable laying below Layer, above the laying of control cable, but not too much affect the power cable cooling. If the high-voltage cable and low-voltage cable in principle do not allow common laying.
Q:im curious to know if using multiple small cables to power my amp is the same or better than using a single big one??like do three 4gauge wires give more power than one 1/0 gauge wire? or is it worse?and how do i know if my amp needs more current?? THANKS
You can have big problems if one of the cables is broken or loses connection somehow. That way all of the current goes down one cable. That is the danger of doing that.
Q:I am looking to replace a broken power cable for my DigiTech RP1000 guitar effects board, but I am curious as to whether I need to find a cable specifically for this device, or if I can look up any cable with an output of 9V AC; 1.3 Amps.
What you are calling a cable is actually a transformer: high voltage AC in, low voltage AC out. If you can get a 9V transformer rated at 1.3A or more then electrically it should work. What the connector will be on it is anybody's guess.
Q:Lets say in the CD-ROM, there's a song. And I want to play it but the CD-ROM's data cable isn't connected to the Motherboard. So even though the song can be played, I can't hear the music being played?* The Sata Power Cable is attached to the power supply *
The power cable will just power up the CD drive but NO music goes to motherboard and its sound port. Even just connecting the small audio connector between the CD drive and motherboard will produce sound output. Connecting the data cable to motherboard enables Windows to read and play the music files.
Q:my friend has a dell that has a btx mobo. the power supply looks like all the other power supplys. will getting a regular power cord at radio shack fit and work with the dell power supplys. the cables that come out of the supply are all the same as usual ones.
You will most likely be fine, but check the power rating. If you look at the back of the PC, just below the power cable install you will see a rating for voltage. The cable should match that voltage. I cannot imagine that any power cable for a PC would be higher or lower than the standard, at least if you are in the US.
Q:cause i wanna make my gameplay hd, but when the hdmi cable is in, there not enough space for the power brick cable,
Seeing as the power cable gives the system the power it needs to run, no, you can't play without it. However, you are able to play with both the power cable AND the HDMI cord. There's enogh space for both to fit into the console, and the power cord plugs into a wall outlet while the HDMI cord plugs into your TV's HDMI slot. There shouldn't be any problem with room.
Q:My cable broke, and I need a new one. This type of 4-pin connection to the PSU: I need multiple SATA connectors, if possible a really long cable. :3 I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find it, I'm probably just not searching for the right terms. Thanks!

Q:Hi,1) Is spinning down of hard disk same as removing the power cable of the hard disk ? 2) Will the IDE cable connected carry power to the hard disk when the power cable is removed ?3) How do we spin down the hard disk manually ?
1) When you unplug the power cable, it spins down, because there is no power. In order to read data from the hard disk it needs to be spinning. When it is not spinning, you cannot read data from it. Some power saving systems will allow you set the hard drives to spin down after a long time that it has not been used, to conserve power. After that, to read from the disk it needs to be spun up, and that takes a few seconds. 2)No. 3) You cannot manually spin a hard disk, it spins at 7200 (some models 5400) rpm. That's VERY fast.
