- 1. Freedom of the press and freedom of speech are pretty closely tied together. Press has been defined by the Supreme Court as any publication that affords a vehicle for information and opinion. Magazines, books, pamphlets, web sites, blogs, TV, anything that is intended to be read or viewed by others. If it doesn't fall under that definition, then it likely falls under free speech. So signs, letters, art work, speeches, things not designed to be viewed as information or opinion. The guarantee is that the GOVERNMENT can't try to control the press. Plenty of other organizations can. Schools, TV networks, libraries, corporations do it all the time. But that's allowed. 2. Make sure that it isn't abused, thus tempting restrictions. 3. An editor has a responsibility to make sure that a story is true in its details, not libelous, doesn't incite riots, isn't on a malicious vendetta against people, and doesn't deliberately expose the subject to danger. 4. Me. I should be the only censor of what I read or watch. But then I'm an adult with a pretty good sense of skepticism.
- Q:I am doing the p90x program and am very lean but am looking to build mass. any ideas on how to incorporate bench press into the program to build more mass in the chest?
- How about during 'Chest and Back' instead of doing certain pushup variations, do bench pressing instead. Of course I'd recommend you do some push ups but substitute out the ones you don't like (ones you can't do very many of) and do bench pressing instead. Don't overexert yourself though cos you'll have to do pull ups soon after. I wouldn't quite recommend this during Chest and Shoulders because you need your arms to be in working order and bench pressing will wreck them (fatigue them). I wouldn't recommend bench pressing here. On Sunday you could replace X stretch or a rest with a bench pressing session or session dedicated to all the exercises p90x doesn't cover. The common example is barbell exercises.
- Q:I am really into photography and want to go to some concerts and take pictures. I have a dslr and everything. I am going to a one direction concert in the summer and really would like to bring my camera. I was planning to get some experience with photographing concerts then get a job taking pictures for a local radio station of something so I could get a press pass. - Sierra, unless you are already very talented...no one will entertain your desire for a press pass. At an event there is a lot that goes on in the background...the last thing anyone needs is an inexperienced photographer getting in the way. Every teenager dreams of what you are asking...the reality is that photography isn't as glamorous as you imagine...it's hard graft. For a press pass you would be expected to have a complete understanding of photography techniques...it would also help if you had some evidence to support your experience...like student ID...an evening or weekend class in photography would be a great place to start...this helps you meet people that can guide you towards the best route for your goals...camera clubs and photography groups are also a great source of advice and experience...great for building contacts that might be useful in the future. If you want to learn how to photograph concerts or gigs then keep your eyes and ears open for local community events and use these for practice...my reasoning for this is...it helps you realise exactly what goes on in the background to support an event...if you can manage to pull off some decent shots it helps build a portfolio at the same time...if you can't get the shots you dream about then you wouldn't manage to get them at one of your idols concerts either...and you might want to consider your next scheme. If you are determined to go in this direction then ask one of your teachers to help you with your approach and contact a local community newspaper to ask if there would be any chance you could shadow one of their photographers...even a church newsletter is worthwhile experience if it uses your images...you need to start somewhere...not many 15 year olds start with getting a press pass.

- I actually wouldn't recommend you do any more strength. If you are already training and doing skills, then what you probably need is flexibility. Work you middle splits on a daily basis and when you try to do try to make your feet be in line with the rest of your body, as opposed to piked.

- LOL....go to the press?? Best laugh all morning!! You must have a fairly elevated sense of self worth if you think the press is going to write a story about an application fee not being refunded. Who would want to read that story?

- Most red carpet events require press credentials, which means, in effect, that you need to get their permission first. The press credentials for each event are given out by the officials running the event. They are not general licenses or ID. On the press release, there should be a media contact phone number or email. Contact them and tell them you want to cover the event for your newspaper, magazine, blog, or whatever. If it's a relatively small event, and they are looking for as much press coverage as they can get, they will probably get you a spot on the red carpet. If it's a major event, that the press is hungry to cover, then space on the carpet will be limited, so they will be more particular, and are less likely to let small media outlets in.
