Q:I found a box of power cables that I could use to hook up my PC and I know some of them were for old CRT monitors. Is it safe to use any of them? I'm not sure which one actually came with the monitor.
From what I can tell, all of the monitor power cables are exactly the same. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work or why it would be unsafe. As long as it fits easily into the LCD and plugs into your power supply then it should be just fine. (P.S. I've used old power cables on newer models before when I lost a cable once)
Q:I would like to buy a replacement. What AC/DC adaptor should I buy? Should I buy the exact same model (FSP150-AAA)? I assume any AC/DC adaptor that has the same spec is ok but I am not sure what is the key for the spec. Any advice would be appreciated.
There appear to be various manufacturers of FSP150-AAA power supplies. You must have a substantial laptop or whatever that is powering. Most laptops have 65 to 90 watt PSU, my gaming laptop is 120 watt, and FSP150-AAA is 150 watt. Or is that an all-in-one PC where the computer is built into a screen? The one you link to is one of the ones I found in a web search.
Q:If I put pressure on the cord I have power but its almost impossable to work. A local computer repair said I have to replace the mother board. Can't the plug in the back be replaced? Thanks!
Your local PC repair shop must be run by mildly retarded individuals...a loose power cable has nothing to do with your motherboard. You can try getting a new plug...if that doesn't work I might try replacing the power supply... LOL dr.bucksnort....I love it...nice one
Q:What is the difference between an ordinary power cable for a dedicated cable?
Look at the computer and television, respectively, what interface are generally computer and television are more VGA, followed by HDMI, the new out there will be DisplayPort connection at both ends of the wire type is also very rich, VGA-VGA, HDMI-HDMI, etc. also Adapter cable, such as DVI to VGA and one according to the computer and television interface to select the wire, hard link established, win7 will automatically identify, I use the flagship version, feel better than XP. You can choose to clone the screen or expand the desktop and other operations, computer monitors Internet TV while watching movies, like.
Q:computer MB does not contain a power supply connector for the SATA power cable leading to the SATA HD, is this the norm? the cable connector is 5 prong female, there is no 5 prong male connector on the MB or the PSU. any suggestions?

Q:Were can i buy a replacement power cable ?
best buy. you won't get an original but you could get one with multi plug adapters that might fit your laptop's or you can try to browse the website of your laptops brand
Q:Help in English:do these expressions have exactly the same meaning?
A cable is usually thicker than a cord. When I hear power cable, I tend to think of industrial machinery.
Q:While DISCONNECTED from the amp, I accidentally touched the power cable with the ground cable. Sparks went flying and I smelt a funny odor. Since then, when I go to turn on my radio, my amp only lights up for a second and then looses power. Unfortunately, I feel I've fried my ground wire (upon close inspection, the power/battery cables fuse is still good along with amp signal wire and RCA's) My question is simply this: When replacing my ground wire, can I use left over power/battery cable? I have about 3 feet left over from the install. Thank you for your help!!
yes cable is cable just make sure u remember that that one is ground.so u don't mix them up.
Q:will I be able to work this out without buying something extra? and if so what do I need to buy?
That gpu takes 2 6 pin connectors, the last photo in the PSU pictures shows this second from the left wire with red plugs. You have what you need. Good luck
Q:all i found was four power cables and 1 was for the floppy and the other 3 were the 4 color cable how can i power this 3rd hd with unplugging my cd drive?
You can go out and find a splitter or remove your floppy drive and get an usb floppy drive if uyou really need it
