Q:how do you install bathroom sink faucets?

Take the old one out, then put the new one in.

Q:kitchen sink: it sounds like theres a waterfall underneath it and, from what we can tell, it seems to be leaking from the vertical pipe.bathroom sink: sounds like a very tiny waterfall. It mainly sounds like a water faucet does when you have it turned on at normal speed. The water is draining off of the bottom part of the sink bowl so it must be leaking right around there.help please! thanks!

its most likely the sink basket. it takes some work the plumbers puttee between the sink and the basket is gone ,or try tithing the nut on the basket not easy ether .there is special tools of course it would be easier to call a plumber or a friend that is handy with repairs, there is so much that maybe wrong under the sinks , but inexpensive to replace the plumber on the other hand..... same for bathroom but the drain is call a pop-up check all the drain fitting nut only use your hands to tithin them

Q:both the sinks are flooding from the drain up. there is crap in the sink from the drain. its disgusting! and to keep it from overflowing i have to just pour the water out with a cup into the tub. help please!

Get a bucket place it under the P trap under the sink. Remove the compression nut on the trap and loosen the one holding the pipe in place at the wall. Drain the trap and if the line is full let it back drain into the bucket dump it in the toilet instaed of the the tub. Why the toilet ? It handles aoil and paper on a regular basis, the tub doesn't. There fore the tub drain is prone to clogging just as bad as the sink., Clean the trap out with hot water and scrub it out with a flexible brush. Run a sink tape down the drain and give it a few hardy turns and work it in and out of the drain pipe. This will dislodge most clogs and then just reassemble and flush the sink with Hot water.

Q:how d i caulk around the sink it seems that im mentally challenged at caulking. i do all of the house repairs with ease just not this. its a circular sink and the old stuff failed after 10 years. i bought GE 3 hour silicone shower caulking to do it with the caulking gun. when i start applying it it looks good and every thing then i go to wipe it then it spreads onto the counter top and sides of the sink. then when im trying to clean it up with a rag it picks the caulking up fine but then takes out allot of the stuff i just put around the sink and looks un even. then by the time i clean one part it has started to dry then i go wipe the other part and it goes into balls. honestly i dont know how to do it. any help would be great.

When I was remodelling and putting in the bathroom sinks (3) I got a tip from my brother in law, mr fix it all. Dip your finger in rubbing alcohol, the kind for your skin to clean your lines of caulking up with. You can dip a rag in it or a paper towel and clean up the edges or where you smeared it. That will work. It cleans up, just fine that way. Try it. Good luck!

Q:It's special! D: My mom gave it to me when I was little -______- I never even wear it, and the ONE day I decide to wear it, it falls down the drain. -.- I took it off to wash my hands, and I guess it slipped out of my grip. -.- Anyways, I've prohibited anyone from running the water in that sink until my ring is retrieved. I wanted to try and fix it myself, but I was too scared to twist/turn any of the knobs under my sink. I've seen it in the movies where all the water comes shooting out,and I don't want taht to happen to me... WHAT TO DO?!

Look underneath the sink for the drain pie, where it has a U, loosen withchannel locks and it will be there

Q:My husband was installing our new bathroom vanity after recent flood damage and the cabinet was just a bit too wide to slide into the spot. So he decided instead of sanding the drywall down he just cut it out. Now I have a 2 inch large hole in the drywall all around the sink and the sink protrudes a bit into the drywall. Not a huge problem except that we have to put a back splash back up around the sink to replace the existing we took out and I have nothing to adhere it to. I was told to get the mesh drywall patch and joint compound and just patch it but the sink still protrudes and I have nothing to really secure the patch to. I cant pull the cabinet out either because he already hooked up the water lines/plumbing. Help!

A piece of wood like a shim or lathe slat 1/4 X width of hole +bit more. Drill a hole in the center of the wood and put a string through and tie into a not bigger than the hole, insert the piece of wood in the hole in the wall {trim down until it can fit but still want it little wider to stop against} and pull back on string until flat against the back of the wall. This is the backing you can use to patch the hole. You will need to hold it in place while applying first layer. Try to include the backing in patch work to hold. Good Luck

Q:Kitchen sink or Bathroom Sink?

I start in the bathroom sink and walk around the first floor and end in the bathroom sink. I have a 16 yr old and a 3 yr old so getting the time to stay in one spot doesn't usually happen during the week.

Q:I have hot water everywhere else in the house the master bathroom has two sink and both of them have cold water but when I turn to the hot water nothing happens in either..the bathroom is upstairs over the hot weather heater and the temps here have been 2 below o, not sure if that matters..thanks!

This might sound silly, but have you checked underneath the sink to make sure that the two pipes leading up to it are turned on. The hot water one might be off.
