- Q: Hi all, Mums on a trip to Europe, and she's stopping in Thailand on the way, so we need to know what the temperature is during the day and eveningShe doesn't want to go overdressed, or be freezing when she gets thereThanks all
- Use both a rub and sauceYou put the rub on them, wrap them in foil and bake them at 250 for several hours, I cook them for 7-8 hrs myselfI tried 5 hrs once and they were not nearly as tender Take them out of the oven and cut the rack into sections of 4-6 ribs eachPut these sections on the grill and slather them with BBQ sauceYou just grill them long enough to get the nice grilled smoky flavor.
- Q: I'm looking for a cheap drugstore flat iron that works really well and won't damage hair as muchAny suggestions?
- Well I hear Chi is really good but pretty pricey, but you have to remember, the pricier the better it is for your hair most likelyMy straightener is Amika, I think I got ripped off I got it for like $150, then I got a Cortex straightener from Winners (like the Canadian version of TJ Maxx) for maybe 50I don't exactly remember but it worked just as wellI wouldn't suggest Conair, I had 2 of those and both of them suckedIt's better to spend a bit of money than to get one that doesn't workAlso you should look for something on the box that says 100 percent ceramic plates not metal plates, metal will destroy your hairIf it just says ceramic plates it may just have a ceramic coating and metal inside, which isn't very good for your hair, the best is 100% ceramic which can be a bit more pricey but better for your hairAlso if you don't want it to damage your hair as much turn the temperature as low as you can, but high enough that it will still straighten your hairBuy a heat protectant, I'd suggest TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray, and spray it in your hair, let it dry, then straighten itI hope this helped :) If you like what you heard check out the blog link below to a blog based on preventing and healing damaged hairAlso e-mail me for further questionsGood luck!
- Q: We are finishing our attic and have already put up the paper faced insulationWe have now been advised by a friend who is a contractor that we need to add a plastic vapor barrierIve asked around and some people say that the paper faced insulation is enough and that a vapor barrier will actually cause mold instead of preventing itI also read on the internet that the plastic vapor barrier will stop the warm air in the room from meeting with the cold air in the wall cavity therefore preventing condensationDoes anyone else have any input on what to do? We are at a standstill with the project until we decide! But we dont want to make a mistake and regret it laterPLEASE HELP!!!
- Most older homes have enough air leaking in and out that a vapor barrier is not as important as it is in a new, tightly-constructed homeIf you add a vapor barrier, do not try to pull back the insulation and install plastic between the ceiling joistsIt's better to use a vapor barrier paintVapor barrier (more accurately called vapor retarder) paints are available from paint companiesThese paints are formulated to stop water vapor from moving through the wallTo be effective, they must be applied according to directionsThis means putting on a thick coatIt is probably safest to put on two coats to assure enough thickness.
- Q: Bananas are they high in fiber??
- I saw one at local hair salon that was pretty much the same thing as the Chi, except it was a generic brand so it was only like $50.
- Q: So silly me, not very wise when it comes to knitting, instead of quot;weaving inquot; the tail from the cast on, I simply did a triple knot very close to the knitting and snipped the rest of the tail offIt is hardly noticableI used the long tail cast on, and even if I managed to unknot the knot I made, I would have about half an inch of yarn left to weave withI have since read that no one should ever do that, because it can unravelIs there anything I can do to fix this? I can't afford to start all over again!
- yes this will help you make good tikka .
- Q: My doctor said to eat more fibers but that don't work.,I tried prunes,Suppositories, laxitives,Enema, But I still don't feel completely empty , It hurtsPlease give me tips
- Have you been back to the doctor? If yes, he/she stills says the same, change doctorsA dietician can help - make enquiries via your local hospital about a dieticians clinicGenerally eating a diet high in both soluble insoluble fibre as well as drinking plenty of water should do itThere are some medical conditions that cause unrelenting constipation hence why I say change doctors see a dieticianYou should aim to eat 2 serves fruit, 5 serves vegetables wholegrain cerealsOats are a good source of fibre are low GIUsing a senna preparation can help but it has been known to irritate the lining of the bowelTaking a dose of Cod liver oil daily is a purgative as well as giving you an important dose of Omega 3 although it can taste yuckyMost importantly - go back to your doctor or find a new one because untreated or poorly cared for constipation can lead to haemaroidsGood luck.
- Q: My mom, my friend, and I have started a high in fiber dietYes, I understand that fiber makes you have more regular bowel movements and whatnot, but my stomach churns, growls, and i have more bowel movements than themAt least 4 and they get 2 or 3I have a lot more gas as well1.) Why do i have more bowel movements and upset stomachs than them?and2.) Is there an alternative to this diet? Over the break, I have lost up to 10lbs with the fiber diet and regular exercise, but I don't want to have gas and bowel movements like this when I get back to schoolIt's not nice to have to hold in a fart for a whole daylol
- The temperature isnt a huge problem because she wont be wearing the blanket all the timeShe only needs the blanket on those really cold days and on any of those days you feel it may he a little to warm just keep an eye on her: if she works up a sweat, well then remove the blanket, dry her off and put it back in when it gets a little chillierIf for some reason your horse needs to wear the blanket longer, purchase a lighter blanket.
- Q: im thinkin about gettin a small lizard or geickoso i would like to have a list on what the supplies i would need.?and how much will it all cost including everthing?and what kind of stuff do they eat?if you no plz tell methx in advance!
- they are both really interesting subject but I think you should go for apparel manufacturing so you could create interesting ideals for future clothing just like issey miyake with his amazing textile workFor my opinions yarn manufacturing is only interesting if you have an ideal on how to design a sweater with a yarn you are going to createIf you are a knitwear major than you should go for it but yarn manufacturing is limited compare to apparels.
- Q: Okay so I want to knit my friends some scarves for a late christmas gift, so I bought like yarn and needles, I bought 4 ply worsted (?) yarn and the recommended needle size which was size 8 USBut as I began knitting, the yarn seemed to like thin for a scarf and the needle made it a little too tight (or I did)So what size needle and yarn should I get?should I get extra bulky, I heard someone say that, but wasn't sure, oh and I'm a beginner.
- Try Cream of Tarter in a paste (paint it over the spots and let it sit for a bit) Followed by a good rinse and then a light coating of furniture oil .If that does not resolve it.you have permanent damageYour options are replacing the doorsPainting the fridgeCovering it with the Aluminium appliance grade contact paper.
- Q: Does this really save you money on heating bills?I just read something about it can cause dampness though?
- Cavity wall insulation is nearly a requirement everywhere nowadaysThe benefits are tremendous in both Heating and Cooling30%, overall, of all heat and a/c loss goes through cavity constructed wallsAnother 25% through poorly insulated ceilings/attics (the roof)As for dampness issues, it is really non-existent, unless you prematurely plug the holes before the product sets properlyYou can poke a bunch of small holes in the walls and spry foam, or use fiber/recycled wood insulationThe walls are easily repaired and the savings are tremendous Just make sure that when you do this, Pay attention to the windows and doors as wellYou'll see your heating and cooling bills drop by a tremendous amountAdditionally, APPLY FOR A GRANT, or TAX abatement/offset to defray the cost(s)Almost anyone can get one, and they are worth the little bit of trouble you go through getting themIn some cases, people can get up to 60-70% of the cost defrayedYou'd be nuts not to take advantage of it Write to me if you have any further questions.
