- Q:Which should I use for an old attic? Blown fiberglass or one of those foams? Anything else better?
- you might go to a craft store and see what is needed to do what you are wanting
- Q:Winter's almost here in Wisconsin! At what temperature do you guys put blankets on your horses? I know everybody's got a different situation, so here's mine:My 3 are all on pasture with a barn to go in for shelter and they keep their coats (are not clipped) all winter and have heated waterLast year I was putting blankets on when I felt it got too cold/windy/whateverThey don't like their blankets much but mom knows best! At least, I thought I did, until I asked around.I've had some people tell me a bunch of different things about putting on blankets:-Not until it's below zero outside;-Never; horses are fine as long as they have their winter coats and shelter;-Whenever the weather is below freezing (32 degrees);-All winter long, no matter what;-Only when the horse needs his muscles warmed up to work.So what's the best answer here guys?! To clarify, we're talking about actual winter rugs, not light sheets, etcThanks for the input!
- My thought is: if it's wet, and it's going to drop below freezing, I throw the blankets onI guess I just feel bad for them, but I'd rather be safe than have a middle of the night vet visit! I've never had a problem with the coat not growing when I do that, and (knock on wood) haven't had any colic because of the weather.
- Q:How many times a month isit safe to straighten/curl hair etc.Health webs.?
- let me start off with i'm a cosmetologist/barber and actually straightening/curling ur hair everyday is not that bad if u have the proper toolsi myself have been straightening my hair just about every day for the past ten yrs n my hair is very long healthy silky and naturally shinyi get so many compliments on my hairnow the most important thing is the flat/curling ironif u want to keep ur hair healthy u need to invest in a good professional flat/curling ironthe difference with a professional flat/curling iron and a flat/curling iron that u would but at say a Walmart or Walgreens is that professional flat/curling irons r ceramic and commercial flat/curling irons are 'ceramic plated' which ultimately deteriorates ur hairalso wat u need is a thermal protectant spray, which will coat ur hair and serve as a shieldagain a professional product is recommendedcommercial products tend to be more acidic and u want a product that has more of a neutral ph.
- Q:Yeah, I'm doing a project about Fiber, but cannot find the answer for that question.
- Just take the police report, the doctor bills and call a lawyerAdjusters will frequently offer two-thirds or one-half of the demand received from the plaintiff's attorneyA local claims manager has about $50-100,000 discretionary settlement authorityHe will usually extend $20-30,000 discretionary settlement authority to his claims supervisors, and $10-15,000 to the office claims staffThe prudent plaintiff's attorney will ask the insurance company point-blank, in the very beginning stage of the relationship, “Are there any coverage issues? Are there any liability issues?” “99% of the plaintiff's attorneys don't know about the supplementary coverages which are due and payable in excess of the policy limits.” “A natural trap that many attorneys fall into is to negotiate the value of their case against the policy limitsIf the plaintiff was 20% at fault in a comparative fault jurisdiction and policy limits are $100,000, many attorneys will ask for $80,000They should instead value the case without regard to the policy limits.”
- Q:I'd really prefer it if it doesn't change the curd's physical appearance too much (so probably no obvious color change please, but I reckon that subtle color change/anything else would be great).I have thought of nuts and fruits, but the problem is, most nuts that are high in fibre are also high in fat and most high fibre fruits would make the curd change color.I would really appreciate it if you could tell me if there are any high fibre nuts that are also low fat, yellow/orange fruits that are high fibre or if you have any other ideas for a low fat high fibre food that can be used when making the curd(:Thanks!
- do you mean to put into lemon curd once its finished or to make lemon curd with? If you are talking about to make lemon curd, I don't think messing with the recipe THAT drastically is going to yield lemon curdMost recipes I have seen only include 4 ingredients, egg yolks, lemon zest and juice and sugarThat combination is what lemon curd isusing a different fruit, high fiber or not, will result in something else but NOT lemon curdLemon is already low fat and the zest does add some fiber but not a great deal All nuts have fat AND fiberthat is their natureAll fruits have fiber but using them instead of lemon for making curd does not yield lemon curdAnd only the juice is called for in the recipes anyway so any fiber the fruit might have had is not includedIf you are dieting, my advice to you is use diet instant lemon pudding made with skim milk insteadIt is the only thing I can think of that is low fat, low calorie but not hi fiber.
- Q:which is a good insulator? whether wool or brick?
- I ordered a holder for my aluminum foil, wax paper, and boxed goods from a catalogI think it was Publisher's Clearing HouseI normally do not order any of the stuff, but I love this thingI have glass refrigerator dishes in which to put leftovers.
- Q:Why should we eat less:Fat, Sugar and Water and eat more fibreWhere do we find Fat, Sugar and Water and Fibre (in food)? and do you know any healthy alternatives? egsugar - diet coke :)
- For people trying to lose weight fiber can give you a satisfied feeling for a longer period of time then high sugar, high carb, low fiber foodThus, with a high fiber diet you typically eat lessCalories from fat are the easiest to store, thus using little in the way of calories to store as fat on your body Calories from protein are the most difficult to convert to fat, using the most calories in the process, making them less of a calorie than calories from fat or sugarHigh fiber food can make the digestive process easier, whereas high fat food does the opposite, increasing the likelihood of constipationSugar is so enjoyable to eat for most people that food manufacturers add it to most foods to make it taste betterAvoid foods labeled low-fat they are often very high in sugar Look for single ingredient foodsLike meat, fruits veggies, skim milk, etcThey are low in the things you don't want, high in the things you do want.
- Q:What are the basic or most used materials to produce satellites? (any kind)?
- Four common classes of materials: 1.) Metals are used for some structural portions of a satellite and for conductors of heat and electricity 2.) Composites and plastics (including ceramics and glass) are used for structure, skins, antennae, ports/lenses/mirrors, and heat-resistant parts (rocket nozzles, heat shields for returning satellites if they are to be recovered) 3.) Semiconductors are used for the instrumentation and many sensors on a satellite, as well as for solar panels for solar-powered satellites 4.) Reactive chemicals are used for propellant and battery components on most satellites, although some use thermal nuclear power plants for power or thrust.
