- Q:Are more recent HDMI cables better than older one? If so, How?
- First of all, The video quality is no better regardless of how much you spend on the cable. HDMI is actually a data cable. it shares far more in common with USB, than say SCART, or Composite. With old analogue cables the quality of the materials were massively important, because lower quality ones would lose the picture over the length of the cable, so the better conductive the materials, and shielding on the cable was, the better the signal comes out on the other end. But HDMI is a digital cable, if it loses anything during the length of the cable, it simply will not work at all. All HDMI cables (look for the HDMI logo) are made to a specific standard, and cannot deviate from that standard. The only time you need more conductive materials, is if it's a ridiculously long cable. The $60 hdmi cables are an absolute con. Gold plated, edges is also a bit of a con For one thing the metal edges (which is usually the part that's gold) Are only there to protect the pins, and help the cable stay in the hdmi port. The only advantage of gold, is it doesn't corrode, but unless you're going to leave it in the rain, this really doesn't matter. As for transfer speeds, and hdmi revisions, this is simply to add more support for larger resolutions (higher than 1080p, which no current tv can display), and 3D. The older cables didn't have enough bandwidth for this. But if your device is for example a 1.3 device, and you use a 1.4 cable, it won't make any difference. The later cables don't usually cost much more anyway.

- That has no effect onthe speed of the system. Many PCs have two IDE cables and each cable can support up to two devices. In you case, there is the one cable with two devices. You may also find a cable that connects your floppy drive if you have one to the mobo.

- If you know where the expensive ones are, just look elsewhere for similar ones! I'm not QUITE sure if you can do this, but if you could connect the two computers and mount one of them as a drive on the other, wouldn't a standard, cheap USB cord work?

- Q:I have a LG prime cell phone. The touch screen stopped working and I had some pictures saved on the broken phones memory and of course now that the touch screen is not functioning I can not get to these pics. - Q:Hi! I have a USB Nokia data cable. When I click the Get connected button in the PC Suite, it tells me to connect my cable to the computer and my phone to the cable. When I connect my cable to the PC it comes up with the Add Hardware wizard. Nokia says to select Install hardware automatically but windows says that it cant find the software needed to install! - Uninstall PC Suite completely. Get the latest version of Nokia PC Suite (ver 6.82) at nokia .uk/pcsuite It fixes a lot of problems found in earlier versions. Donwload install it. Dont connect the phone till PC Suite instructs you to.
