- Q: I have a new DVD drive, and when I went to install it, realized that I have a 4-pin CD_IN slot, and the S-ATA data cable that came with the drive is 7 pin on both ends. Does anyone know if I can buy an adapter, and if so, where? I've looked around a couple of places, but with no results.
- 4-pin CD_IN shouldn't be connected. It isn't necessary. You should connect the data and power cables.

- What you need is a memory card. When you connect your phone to a computer, it's the info on the memory card that's accessed, not the info on the phone itself. After you insert the card into your phone, copy or move the pics onto the card. after that, you'll be able to connect your phone to the computer and just drag and drop the folder. It's *really* easy.

- You should never remove hardware like that without using the proper method. The phone might have to be re-formatted. Try uninstalling the program, re-installing it using install wizard.
- Q: I just got a generic DCU-60 usb data cable for Sony ericsson cellphone but it has no instructions and the cable can fit either way so which way does the phone part of the cable plug in.with the 3 pins toward the top (upper part near the camera) of the connector or the other way around

- Q: Hi.I have a old Siemens C65, it was bought two years ago.I have bought a data cable (also a while ago) so I could back up stuff on the phone. Now the Sim Card is locked, and I am trying to unlock it, on the computer. But to do that I will have to access the phone from the computer.There was a program coming with the phone called Handset Manager for Siemens C65 Series. It has a file browsing tool. However, whenever I try and transfer Java files to the phone, it says that the file is not allowed to be uploaded to the handset.This I find, annoying.Is there any program that allow me to transfer the files another way?
- since your phone is locked you'll need to unlock it first, if the sim is locked the all you need to do is call the carrier for the code or switch the simcard and then install the app!!
- Q: I am not sure how to explain this without a picture, but the data cable that is connected to my phone seems to have 3 ends to it.One to the phone itself, and 2 other plugs.I know one of the 2 goes into the wall jack, but where does the other one go.?And is it ok to leave the other one unplugged.?Does that create any problems if I use a DSL filter with that 1 plug not used?
- Dsl filter should be used in-line with the wall jack and phone. Using it on an unused line would not do nor will it cause any problems. As for where the other one goes, you would have to trace that cable from one end to the other. A normal phone cable would have 2 - 3 pairs in it for plain phone lines. A normal data cable would have 4 pairs in it. Both normally would have 1 end on each end. Custom ends can be made for some applications. I have made a few for testing purposes and even using it for RCA audio for my pc speakers.
