Not photos taken with my phone. I was hoping I could use a data cable to transfer the files over. Can I transfer those downloaded images using a usb data cable? Or is there another way. - I can see that the cable is working but your phone may not support mass storage. This is why it does not show up as a drive. You should download the PC Suite and it should be able to communicate with your phone. The software will come together with your phone on a CD.

- You cannot do this. Do Not try or you risk destroying the devices. I suggest that you get a software product called Data Pilot. This is a product created to interface various phone brands and PCs. It comes with the software tools and an assortment of Phone-to-USB connecting cables. It isn't free, but it's cheaper than screwing up your devices.

- You can start the New Hardware Wizard from the Control Panel found in the Start Menu On my XP machine it's labeled Add Hardware

- You should be able to drag the file from your computer into a file for your phones ringtones when you have them connected. It's just like saving a file to any other external device.

- After looking into this for a little bit, I found that you need to install both the driver that you got on the CD and install the bitpim program. The CD should have an installation program on it. - Q: I wondered if it works with a Motorola RAZR V3XX. I have searched the net. Some places on the internet say is does, some just don't say and some say it doesn't. - when you purchased you phone box should have contained a CD (phone tools ) and a USB data cable and yes it works for all motorolas phones if u don't have it you can go to motola web sie www,hellomoto and download phone tools for free then simply update it

- you need a data transfer cable. unfortunately, a usb-usb cable won't do what you want it to do, as I've learned that from experience. you do not need additional software because it comes with it.
