- No, when you use the data transfer cable, it moves the data from one device to another, and can only transfer data from a smaller device to one of equal storage or higher storage compasity (Ex. 20GB-20GB, 20GB-60GB, 20GB-120GB, etc.). If you want to copy the data, you can either use a USB flash drive or use your computer to transfer the data. I used the USB flash drive to transfer my data from my 20GB HDD to my 60GB HDD and it took a few hours. Hope this helped.

- once once extra, Milk84 beat me to it. She's suitable, they not in any respect made a 10GB hard force. They did only are available in in 20, 60 120GB sizes. in basic terms use a memory card to modify what you assume you may want to protect. They did make a 64mb memory card too (I actually have one), yet once you're going to move truly some stuff, you should flow alongside with the 512mb card. solid fulfillment!
