- Bulldozer isn't out yet...not until at least Sept. Opteron has been around for years it a server CPU for big businesses which is why you don't see it advertised along side PC..CPU's

- If your life income depends on it (your job requires it), then its probably worth it because you are going to make the processor price pay. The fact is that very little software takes advantage of more than 4 threads...so the additional two cores sit there IDLE doing NOTHING for you, no matter how intense the application. So you need to check with your software vendor(s) first and find out, is the software you are using going to be able to access and use the additional two cores. IF not, its a total waste of money on your part and does NOTHING to make anything more efficient. You are better off buying a Quad Core CPU, any of the other i7 processors makes more sense. No matter how sophisticated, intense, demanding, your applications are, if the extra two cores cannot be accessed or used by your software, its just a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. If you are going to just have to have a 6 core processor, then get the AMD 1090T for $300 and save yourself the extra $700...but it just doesn't make sense at $1000 to buy that Intel processor unless you have the software for it. Buy either one of the other i7 processors or the AMD 1090T if you just can't live without the latest cpu. The Intel processor costs too much money for NO GAIN in performance buying something that cannot be used 100%.

- I would go with the AMD Bulldozer FX6100. Why? because you will get more bang out of your buck. it seems like a good powerful processor that will defiantly boost your game performance. Just make sure that your motherboard is compatible with this CPU (AM3+) . And with six core processor, you cant go wrong with this CPU.

- My sister used to work for the US Forest Service, flying waterbombers and smoke-jumper transports. She says that the military can not be sent into fight fires until all civilian and contract agencies in the area have been called out. The governor does have to authority to call out the National Guard units of California. Just like the governor of Louisiana could have mobilized National Guard units during Hurricane Katrina. BTW. Their are plenty of helicopters that can be adapted to fight fires, but I doubt a Huey can carry a big bulldozer. Maybe a CH-47 or H-53, but not a little UH-1 Huey.
