product description
The resistivity, mobility, and free-carrier concentration in monocrystalline silicon vary with doping concentration of the single crystal silicon. Whereas the doping of polycrystalline silicon does have an effect on the resistivity, mobility, and free-carrier concentration, these properties strongly depend on the polycrystalline grain size, which is a physical parameter that the material scientist can manipulate.[20]Through the methods of crystallization to form polycrystalline silicon, an engineer can control the size of the polycrystalline grains which will vary the physical properties of the material.

- Q:Can solar panels be installed on remote or off-grid locations?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on remote or off-grid locations. In fact, they are highly suitable for such areas as they do not rely on a traditional power grid for electricity generation. By harnessing sunlight, solar panels can provide a reliable and sustainable source of power even in remote locations where connecting to the grid may not be feasible or cost-effective.
- Q:i need to make a solar panel model for a project in science and i would like to know how to build a easy model at home that wont cost alot
- There are different types of solar panels. Photovoltaic for electricity, and thermal for heating water, and passive for heating air. So it would help if you would say what type you are going to build. Theere are a lot of videos on you tube on how to make solar panels. use the link below.
- Q:Can solar panels be installed on research facilities or laboratories?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on research facilities or laboratories. Solar panels are a viable and sustainable energy solution for these types of buildings, providing clean and renewable power. The installation of solar panels on research facilities or laboratories can help reduce their carbon footprint, lower energy costs, and contribute to a greener and more sustainable environment.
- Q:What are the supplies needed in a solar panel field, i know there are the panels. But what about batteries, and converters. Possibly other things, and how many will i need, for a certain amount of panels?
- I am interested also and plan on following up on the information in the next couple of weeks
- Q:Can solar panels be used to power a public transportation system?
- Yes, solar panels can be used to power a public transportation system. By installing solar panels on the rooftops of public transportation vehicles or on charging stations at transit hubs, the energy generated from the sun can be harnessed to provide power for electric buses, trams, or trains. This reduces reliance on traditional energy sources and helps to make public transportation more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
- Q:Me and my wife just saw an ad on TV about going solar and saw the money we can save every month... any here have solar panels? How much do you save every month on energy bill? Is it true that your energy meter will spin backwards? lol
- Yes, it can save money, but really depends on your individual situation. There are three main factors - how much sun you get, how much electricity you use, and how much electricity costs locally. We have solar, and the meter does spin backwards. Actually, it's a digital meter, so it counts down instead of up. The system covers essentially all our electrical usage over the year, and our electric bill is about $5 a month, because of minimum charges by the electric company. That shouldn't be used as a comparison to your situation, though, since every house is different.
- Q:Can any body tell me how much Electricity can 0 Standard solar panels produce in a day( in terms of Watts)Or else please tell me how many Watts is 5 volts of electricity?
- You are missing one bit of information in order to get an answer. Watts = Volts x Amps Find out how many amps the collector can put out and you can then plug in the numbers into the equation and get your answers.
- Q:I am writing some mock legislation for a school club and I need to know some of the environmental effects of solar panels. Also, where can I find specific studies(like from colleges and/or universities) proving these benefits as well as benefits and reasons of going green.
- The social earnings is that with photograph voltaic panels they help decrease pollution that fouls the air that the ordinary public breath and it will supply up/decrease killing human beings for the supplies used now (oil gasoline) and likewise social is they gained't could dig in those risky mines for coal, which would be a social earnings. Economically it is going to pay off in the money sooner or later once you pay-off for installation them. Environmentally they help with removing pollution from the different supplies (coal, oil gasoline) additionally nuclear potential is barely stable for potential, yet commit it to memory remains turns right into a waste which will exchange right into a pollutant.
- Q:Can solar panels be installed on schools or universities?
- Yes, solar panels can definitely be installed on schools or universities. In fact, many educational institutions are taking advantage of solar energy to reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy costs. Solar panels can be easily installed on rooftops or open spaces within the campus, providing clean and renewable energy for various electrical needs of the school or university.
- Q:Do I need some type of regulator when the batteries are fully charged.?? The Arco Panels voltage is approx 7VDC at 2.5 amps, Should I limited the voltage to 4VDC???. I would like to connect both panels to up to five batteries at one time...???
- You can buy Solar Charger Regulators. I don't. These chargers limit the charging current to the batteries, so you do not get a full efficiency of the solar panel. They disconnect the batteries from the user side (the bulbs you use) if the battery voltage goes below a certain level (i.e. below 8V for a 2V battery), so you cannot use all the power available in the batteries, even in emergency. They introduce, at least, a 0.7V loss (diode forward voltage) between the panel and the battery. If you have SEVERAL panels and a lot of batteries, use a controller as above. If you only have one panel, insert a 5A trip fuse in line (in your case: twice the current of the panel), and a 0-20A diode in series between the panel and the batteries (Kathode side of the + of the battery, Anode side of the + of the panel). Install a voltmeter across the battery. The fuse will prevent any short or over-charge current. The diode will prevent the battery to discharge into the panel at night if it is not already protected. The voltmeter will allow you to watch the status. Your thought of limiting the voltage is useless: should the battery be low, the panel will drop its voltage, limited by the max current. Should the battery be fully charged and the solar panel at full efficiency, it will just try to charge the battery more. A bit of bubbles may result, hence the voltmeter to watch over it. If you want to limit the voltage to 4V, put a 4V Zener (4Vx2.5W!) in series with a resistor of, say, 7V-4V/2.5A or ~ Ohm, 5W, in parallel with the panel.
