- Q: having a difficult time finding a wire for my remoter starter
- The white wire to the coil is the tach wire. If you have the 4.3L,there is a white wire with a black tracer from the ignition control module to the coil. If that doesn't help,on the PCM,in the red connector, terminal 10 is the tach wire from the PCM to the Instrument cluster, this wire is also white.
- Q: A street lamp weighs 200 N. It is supported by two wires that form an angle of 130° with each other. The tensions in the wires are equal. What is the tension in each wire supporting the street lamp?If the angle between the wires supporting the street lamp is reduced to 100°, what is the tension in each wire?
- Problem 1: If the tension in the two wires are equal, the angle they make with the horizontal must also be equal. Always remember that a horizontal line is a straight angle; hence, it has a measurement of 180°. Let's look for the angle the wires make with the horizontal. 130 + x + x = 180 130 + 2x = 180 2x = 180 - 130 2x = 50 (Divide both sides by 2) x = 25° Each wire makes a 25° angle with the horizontal. We can now find the tension. The mass must be divided by 2. Using trigonometry, let's find the tension force. The divided weight of the lamp shall be the opposite side, and the tension force shall be the hypotenuse. sin 25° = (200 / 2) / Ftens Ftens = 100 / sin 25° Ftens = 236.62 N (Answer) The tension is 236.62 N in each wire. Problem 2: We use the same approach. 100 + x + x = 180 100 + 2x = 180 2x = 180 - 100 2x = 80 (Divide both sides by 2) x = 40° Each wire makes a 40° angle with the horizontal. Calculate the tension force. sin 40° = (200 / 2) / Ftens Ftens = 100 / sin 40° Ftens = 155.57 N (Answer) The tension is 155.57 N in each wire. Hope this helps!
- Q: I have a set of pilot wi-200 strobe lights and they have three wires and i want to hook them up to a optx headlight strobe control module the wires are gray white and black can you tell me where to hook them
- I wouldn't try it. The gray, white, and black wires are the high voltage strobe wires. The control module changes the patterns before the voltage is increased. There is nothing you can do here.
- Q: I just bought a remote starter/keyless entry/alarm system, i'm looking to install it myself... I'm just wondering what gauge wire that most cars use.I'm assuming power wires are lower gauge then others, Could I use 16 gauge for power lines or would i need something larger? Thanks in advanced.
- Depends on the amperage draw, for a stater wire most cars use a #12 THHN copper wire #16 would be used for speaker wire #14 is used for dome lights temp gages oil gauge and so on headlight wires use #12 wire STARTER to battery wire uses #6 wire taillights and turn signals use #14 Computer wires use #16 or #18 gauge wire as for the power wire if it has a fuse make sure the fuse will blow before the wire burns threw so if it's a 20 amp fuse fast blow use #12 copper if it's a 30 amp fuse use use a #10 wire. My fog lights I put in my truck uses a 40 amp fuse so I put in a # 8 copper wire for them. Hope this helps and gives you a guide of what wire to use.
- Q: how do you connect two copper wires together
- You could try solder. I usually just twist them together and then cover them with electrical tape, although, I guess that's not the proper way.
- Q: How can it be possible to create a high voltage and have a small gauge wire? Example: 3gj or 3000mw in a small wire (just an example)
- Assuming the wires aren't linked, and assuming the voltages are with appreciate to floor. There's no difference between the wires, or as a minimum there need not be any variations. What makes you factor there may be. Voltage is only a knowledge utilized to the wire, through batteries for example. When you have a 1.5 volt battery and a ninety volt battery (that you would be able to purchase these, but steeply-priced) both with the bad tied to floor. Now take 2 small pieces of copper wire, about an inch long. Lay each one on the constructive terminal of one of the crucial batteries. That meets your stipulations. Nothing happens to the wires.
- Q: im installing an amp and i have no clue what to do with thw power wire.... I read to cut open my steros power wire (usually the blue) and wrap my power wire around it... I found the blue wire but there was a tag... Caution Remote output only... This is not the wire for power supply. please connect this wire to the remote for the amplifier... Does this mean i just connect this wire directly to my amp?
- ok wait hold up. so the only wire that should be hooked from the amp to the headunit is your speaker wires, remote turn on wire, and your rca cables. ....What you need to do is get the power cable(usually red) run it from positive on the battery to the POS on your amp. next put your ground wire from the GND on the amp to bare metal on your cars chasis.
- Q: What is the difference between carbon fiber and wire heating?
- Carbon fiber heat is not transmitted through the medium, but far infrared light radiation to the human body, the heat transfer directly to the human body tissues and organs
- Q: My dad is trying to wire a electric cook top...it has three wires (black, red, and copper). His junction box has four wires (black, red, white and copper). He first wired the black to black, red to red and copper to copper, he capped the white wire in the junction box. The cook top did not work. Then he connected the white wire with the two copper wires, and the cook top now works. So the question is will this connection work or will it cause a problem? And if it causes a problem what can he do to resolve it?
- so it is new already == call the 800 number that is with the paperwork and ask the customer service to give you an explanation and email a wiring diagram ... best way to fix and have safety ...
- Q: Why do some vehicles have more than one starter wire at the ignition switch?
- one for the solenoid and a second for the distributor. the one for the solenoid is only active in the crank position where as the other is any time the key is in the run position or crank.
