The red wire off of the wiring harness for the radio is the remote wire. You need to run atleast a 16g wire(a 12 gauge wire would be best) from that red wire on the radio to the remote power input on the amp. I do not know what kind of setup and amp you have so I can not give further info, sorry.
Q:I have two alpine 1242d. I need to wire them parallel parallel. Ive seen many pictures on how to do it but im still a little confused. Okay first off do i need any special type of wiring or will my 4awg wire work. Because it shows multiple wire connections where the wires combine. you could no longer do it with out putting greater resistive factors in it. 2 4 ohm SVC subs in parallel continuously equals 2 ohm. what style of amp are you working? countless amps can handle a 2 ohm mono bridged configuration (and get greater capability to them). in case you prefer to furnish the amp 4 ohms, you could run each and every off of left or stunning, and feed them a mono sign. i assume this may be as on the verge of give way of a bridged mono 4 ohm configuration with 2 4 ohm subs.
Q:I attempted to change a bathroom fan to a new one with the help of a friend. He disconnected all the wiring without paying attention to what he was doing and what was wired where. We have a set of wires coming from somewhere (I presume the fuse box) to the fan that is hot regardless of the switch being on or off. That has a black, white and naked wire in it. Then we have another wire that comes from the switch that has black, white and naked as well. The fan has black, white and green. Can someone please tell me how to connect these as we have tried everything and the only thing that works is wired to the constant hot which of course won't allow us to turn the fan off with the switch...
1) Turn off the power. 2) Install the fan completely into desired location. 3) Insert both wires into fan's junction box. 4) Twist the two bare wires together, install crimp sleeve onto them at the twist. 5) Find the green screw and connect ONE of these bare wires under it and tighten it down. 6) Cut the OTHER excess wire and fold all this connection up into the junction box. 7) Take the white wire that is coming from the (I presume the fuse box) , and connect it to the white wire that goes to the fan itself. Strip 1/2 of insulation and twist the wires together, install a wire-nut and fold this into the fan's junction box. 8) Take the black wire that comes from the switch and connect it to the black wire that goes to the fan itself. Strip 1/2 of insulation, twist the wires together, install a wire-nut and fold this into the fan's junction box. 9) All that's left is the black wire that is coming from the (I presume the fuse box) , and the white wire that comes from the switch. Strip 1/2 of insulation, twist the wires together, install a wire-nut. 10) Take a black Sharpie pen and color this connection's white wire black and fold this into the fan's junction box. This is known as a switch-leg. 11) Restore power and test. I will you with these two thoughts: 1) It is always best to hire a pro for this type of work. 2) Good luck and may God bless.
Q:i got a fi bl 15dual 2 subwoofer. im wiring it down to 1 ohm.now for the problem. lets say im wiring the positive terminals together. am i suppose to wire it all with positive wire or can i also use negative copper wire? i used two positive wires and one negative wire to hook up the three positive terminals. is this bad? do i need to make all of them positive silver wires?
however way tou ire them as long as they're placed into the comparable amp they each get that plenty output. So 2 subs @ a million ohms is 1000w rms ea and a couple of subs @ 2 ohms get 750w rms ea

Congratulations on getting the dishwasher removed. That certainly is the hardest part. Here are a couple of suggestions 1) You can use wire nuts (if you have any) or use Black Electrical tape. It's very inexpensive, (does not conduct electricity) and you can find it at most grocery store and hardware stores. Wrap each wire independently with plenty of tape, then wrap a good layer of tape around both (wrapped) wires. The next thing to do , is to make sure the electrical wire does not touch the floor (in case of a water leak etc..) Coil up the wire, (close to where is comes out of the wall) and use the black electrical tape to fasten / wrap around it. 2) You could add a (on/off) switch on that line. Put the on/off switch in a safe and easy place to access... even with a dishwasher installed! That way you don't have to turn off the whole circuit, just that individual line to the dishwasher. Q:I just tore my old shed down, that was wired for electrical. though I never used power out there There is size 10 wiring (two wires), running from the house to where my shed was. I then bought a Tough Shed from The Home Depot and put it where my old shed was. While working on wiring my new shed for electricity, I turned power off to the entire house.I am trying to install power to the shed and I spliced the size 10 wires to size 14 (three cable, includes a ground) which I have connect to an electrical outlet in the shed, but once I turn the main power box back on, the circuit that runs power to the shed keeps tripping off. Am I missing something here?Thanks
Thats big # 10. Sounds like somebody was running a welder or air compressor. But you can still use it. Do Not forget your GFCI outlet.
Q:I have a new light fixture I am trying to install. The electrical box has two sets of black and white wires coming in. Both of the black wires are connected together while the white wires from either set were used to connect the old fixture. How should I wire in the new fixture. The switch for this light has only one set of black and white wires connected to the light switch.
If you don't get it, you need to simply hire a qualified electrician so you don't screw up the fixture. Either that or see if there is a wall switch for the fixture for starters. Most people simply put black tape on the white wire that comes back from the switch because it is hot.

If there enough wire left on each side of the cut, say 1, then you could bear about 1/4 of the wire on each side and solder the wires back together making sure you are soldering the same wires together and wrap each soldered connection in electrical tape so they are not able to touch each other. Then a final wrap of tape around them both. If you are not up to soldering you could go to an auto parts shop and get a crimp connector to do the job, again bearing of wire is needed to get a contact through the cut area. If the cut is closer to the switch then there is no option but to replace the switch.....
