- I would go for the 450D for a few important reasons: 1) improved AF system. Very important in getting focused shots, particularly in dim light. 2) larger LCD monitor. Avoid frustration from having to try to make out details on a small screen. 3) larger viewfinder: makes it easier to compose. 4) improved kit lens with IS All of these things together make the 450D a better value--you'll get more keepers. Any one alone might not be enough, but taken together, it makes the price difference inconsequential. If I were Canon, I'd cut the Canon 350D, keep the 400D and cut the price, and add the 450D.

- CHI irons are the best! They get HOT fast so be careful and make sure your using some type of heat protective product, they usually add shine also! Try REDKEN, i think it's call Smooth Down, brown bottle, it's amazing (for blow drying too!)

- Truthfully, a battery light is in fact not indicating a problem with the battery, but it is indicating a problem with the charging system (AKA the alternator). It could be a voltage regulator that is failing or it could be an alternator. Take the alternator to an auto-parts store so they can test it and see if its going bad.

- If the your car has gone to 3 different shops and their code reader detected a fault with the same code and has been replaced with a new one then the problem may lye in the a faulty wire to or from the main computer. Depending on the code reader they were using may not have the capability to perform a function that will reset adaptation or monitor the suspected part. Some late model cars have the capability of flashing the prom chip in the computer that fixes any known bugs in the chip. I suggest taking the car to the GMC dealer because they have the proper test equipment to monitor and performed specific activation test to isolate the problem. Your chances of them finding the culprit is much likely than a shop that doesn't have the proper equipment. If they do pinpoint the problem in a timely fashion they will call u give an accurate estimate to repair it. And that's when u decide if it's not worth fixing. But give them a try. It beats financing a new car and keeping the extra funds for more important things. Good luck!

- There is a code being tripped by something under the hood that is doing that and then correcting itself for a bit. If the car's running okay otherwise, I've found the most common thing that does this is an 02 sensor. Since they rely on a 'count' system that has to agree with the 'count' produced by the next 02 sensor inline, then the code trips and then when you're driving they tend to 'agree' with each other later. I have a couple of vehicles that do this and even after changing the sensors I still get an intermittent light that comes on. If you want to verify that there is a code tripped, you can have your checked for free at those discount auto parts places. They'll let you know what the code says if it is still in the computer on your car.

- The ABS light will come on when a fault is detected in any part of the ABS system. There are sensors on the wheels (usually part of the braking assembly) there is also a pump/motor/valve assembly and that is what pumps the brakes so you don't have to. The pump may have gone bad, you need to check the computer codes that have been stored. (this requires a code scanner) The brakes should continue to function just fine but you will have no ABS function until you fix the problem.
- Q: There are Off and Auto buttons on the rear view mirror, to control dimming. Every time the car is started it is programmed to default to Auto, and until recently it worked fine, dimming automatically only when there were glaring lights behind me. Now, when the car is started the mirror dims on its own, regardless of the lights behind me, during both the day time and night time. The mirror dims to a point where it is difficult to use, particularly at night. The problem is fixed by pushing the Off button, but because it still defaults to Auto, I need to push the Off button every time I start the car.

- i own a shop,and its a selector switch that's causing this to happen,you have to order the switch from a dealer right now it cant be bought after market yet,but that's why its doing this,,i have done a lot of these and the last switch i bought cost me around 60 bucks,and took less than 5 minutes to install,,ford knows about this problem,,but they wont recall them over it,but the will sell you switch to repair it with,,but do this before you go out and buy a switch,have a local mechanic look at it,and make sure its only the switch,and nothing else,good luck with it ,i hope this help,s.

- How you stop is ENTIRELY judged by speed and distance from your stopping point. The main thing to remember is that PROPER braking requires both brakes applied simultaneously with even pressure. Using your brakes to slow or down-shifting is entirely subjective but you should never coast while slowing with the clutch pulled all the way in. Why? Because if you need power in an emergency you could very well be in the wrong gear and make a bad situation worse. Typically, when I slow down I downshift first and then apply the brakes when coming to a stop. Depending on conditions, you may need to apply the brakes and then downshift - Refer to my first sentence. Anyway, I went to a private school to learn to ride motorcycles and have NEVER had an accident. I have owned and ridden everything from a Suzuki Hayabusa to my Goldwing, so I know what Im doing. Be safe.
