Q: If I buy a phone from OKorder that is locked to T-mobile, would I be able to activate service with them? I'm 18 and have no credit history, so would I have to pay a deposit?
There are two types of phones sold on OKorder: Phones with a contract and phones without a contract. A phone without a contract: all you need is a T-Mobile Sim card. You can get a prepaid one or you can set up a plan. A phone with a contract: Its a lot cheaper but you will have to activate the phone through the seller, which means for you putting up a deposit. What I would do is go to a T-Mobile store and tell them that you are getting a T-Mobile free from your dad and what your options are. Don't let them talk you into signing anything right there and then. Go back home and think about your options and then make a decision.
Q: I have a t-mobile phone and a plan. But i'm only a year into my contract. I don't want to change the plan but i want to change the phone. I was wondering if i can buy the phone i want from t-mobile which is a SIDEKICK LX- carbon. and just insert my SIM CARD into it and use it. Will it work if i just put my SIM card into it? and will i be able to access the network AIM. i don't need anything else. i just want to be able to receive and send calls and log into AIM, keep the same phone number and listen to my music thats it. can someone help me out plz. Thanks in Advance
I also have t-mobile and they have good customer service well if you buy one for t-mobile i think you can buy the full price which about $200 or they could extend your contract and give it to you with a discount. I would rather just buy the phone. Not having a contract makes you monthly bills a little lower for like 20 less. It does have AIM so don't worry and yes you can just insert the Sim card to you new phone with the same number.
Q: I am planning a trip to Malaysia and Taiwan this summer, and I?d love to buy a new phone there. But will it work at Czech Republic (Europe) with T-Mobile sim- card in it? And is it really cheaper to buy it there? THX
Yes, its cheaper for you to buy phone in Malaysia and Taiwan, where Malaysia is approx. 10 to 20% cheaper than in Taiwan. Your phone should work with any sim-card, including your sim-card from T-Mobile. But for that, you have to purchase a phone without any telco contract and you have to buy from indepedent phone sellers at their shops and its easy to find in Malaysia and less so in Taiwan. As for whether it will work in Czech Republic, you should consult T-mobile and not the handphone seller, cause its more towards the service provider on its roaming network connectivity, rather than the connectivity of the mobile phone. Consult T-Mobile for more detail about it.
Q: If a aircraft forms a faraday cage (I'm thinking the pressurized comair types) then how would a mobile phone effect a external signal? Or does a comair form a faraday cage (im thinking now of everyone who immediately busts out their mobile as the flights lands,,,)??Essentially what avionics package does a mobile operating 800/900/1800/1900 (and whatever other common rf mobiles use) interfere with?
It's because of 9/11
Q: How do I unlock T-mobile or ATT phone? what's the code?
You can research the internet for codes or go to your nearest independent Mobile Phone shop. You may be able to get it from T-Mobile but at a price!
Q: I heard that T-mobile phones are compatible with Boost SIMsAnyone know if this is true?
uhm im pretty sure its gona work, as long as its unlocked. just try it what do you got to lose.
Q: I have this really nice T-Mobile phone a friend gave me but i am with Boost mobile is there anyway that i might be able to unlock the phone to work with Boost Mobile? My current phone is Sanyo Incognito and it has no sim card.
No. The phone is GSM. Boost is not a GSM carrier.
Q: i have a sidekick lx and I'm looking for something a littler more towards the iphone and voyager is their a list or does anyone know of any new phones t-mobile is coming out with in the distant or near future
I'm not sure of anyones but i know that the iphone is not going to be one of them it's made by mac and only ATT users are able to get it, i would consider maybe switching phone companies
Q: I saw a virgin mobile jax phone for $14.99 I'm thinking about getting it cause it has a mp3 on it and I could use it as my permanent clock. I was just wondering if there is any activation fee or anything because I don't want to use
absolutely everyone in simple terms needs to kick back down. the service is down, ok, they're engaged on it. You all might want to easily feel free that your getting infinite records/texting/digital mail for in simple terms 35 money a month, the international received't end in simple terms because the texting service has gone down for what ever reason. So dont bash the employer it is giving you this tremendous value, i have had Virgin for 2 years now and it is in simple terms the second one time that any service has gone down, so human beings in simple terms relax and digital mail human beings in case you quite cant stay without texting
Q: Anyone has or has had a virgin mobile phone--- what are the pros and cons. I know they're good 'cause there is no contract but money wise would you spend more on one of these then on a cell phone with a contract?
coo but i never had one of them
