You mean the pyramids, right? I hope soMy father was a master stone mason, who weighed a grand total of 145 lbsHe regularly moved two or three ton rocks without the benefit of cranes, vehicles of any kind, or even horsesHow? By using simple tools, such as rollers and inclined planes and ropeThe Egyptians had the same technology as my father, but a lot more manpowerSince stone was one of their preferred building materials, they also had the skills to figure out how to move and position those big ol' suckers While we're at it, Dad also used twine, water, cold weather, and a chisel and hammer to split stones the size of a small houseThe Egyptians could have used the same technique (ice does form in the deserts of Egypt at night, btw)It's not rocket science, and no dinosaurs are needed.
Q:aluminum alloys for the body?? I am afraid not.I am asking the RS NOT an airsoft rifle, should be made out of Full forged steel and comes with a polymer stock and carry handle.the internals are undoubtedly steel right??
Upper and lower receiver is made from 7075 T6 aluminum alloy forgingsBolt is made from Carpenter 158 steelBarrel steel meets Mil-Spec 11595E which means it is one of several types of steel that has certain specific chemical composition listed in the specificationReceiver extension is 6061 aluminum, hammer, trigger, and disconnector are made from hardened tool steelFSB is cast steel, gas tube is stainless steelCarry handle and rear sight assembly is also steelBolt carrier is made from steel, not sure which grade, but probably 4140 or 4150Handguards and stock are made from composites.
Q:I have a laptop that is pretty much a desktop replacementFor extra storage space, I decided to buy an internal hard drive and use a Aluminum external enclosureHowever, after being warned by a friend that these may damage the hard drive, I looked up all over online to see if it really did hurt the hard driveAll the results are conflicting and I was wondering if it was a good idea to leave it on all the time as I back up files on a regular basis with this hard driveSo, question is: is it safe to leave this on all the time? If not, should I get another external case? Which one?
As long if its an external case is for only 1 hard drive you should be fine, the ones that hold more then 1 you should worry about having a fan forBecause just 1 hard drive will distribute its heat to the aluminum casing keeping it at a suitable temperatureBut with more then 1 hard drive, one hard drive can give off heat to the other and vise verse, requiring a fan to keep them at a suitable temperature.
Q:For Christmas every year I make some kind of dessert and usually try to go with one that is either extremely different or far more difficult than anybody in my family would usually attempt (we get a lot of the cheesecakes, chocolate cake, pie, etc)This year I decided I wanted to make a checkerboard cake using green and redI bought a white cake mix that I will prepare and then split in half and add red food coloring to one half and green to the otherA recipe that I have heard before is:1.) Place the two cake batters each into separate piping bags2.) Using a round cake pan pipe batter 1 alone the edge, followed by batter 2, and so on and so on in an alternating fashion until the pan is filled. So basically my questions are:1.) Has anybody used this before and does it work?2.) The recipe is for TWO cake pans worth of cake, do I have to use 2 pans (so two boxes of cake mix) or can I make it smaller by only using the one layer and still have the checkerboard pattern? Thanks for all of your help!
Sorry, but I never felt felt that felt like felt till I felt the felt on my new felt hatMaybe I will get a felt sweater for Christmas and then tell you what that felt felt like.
Q:I am not sure how to cite thisIn my paper i say a quote about wrigley field adding lightsheres the quote -Putting lights in Wrigley Field is like putting aluminum siding on the Sistine Chapel~Roger Simon, 1988Now would i just do that in my paper or would i do that and then like that parenthesis like where you do ( 150)exbut i am getting it from a website with no certain author and its just a quote so is he still considered the author? Please help!!!
HEY! I really stink at citing sourcesand I am a communications majorso I write a lot of papersI ALWAYS USE Diana Hackerwhen you get to the sitejust pick what subject u are writing it forlike science, humanitiesetcthen scroll over the documenting sources tabyou can pick in text citationsworks citedit will walk you through itit has lists for articles with no authorsetcGOOD LUCK!
Q:I need to make a fairly accurate construction of a monkey and i dont want to use plasticine or play-dohWhat are some different options and materials?
Spray foam actually provides the best insulation per inchIt is expensive though and it will push apart your walls if you don't have one side removedFor a preexisting wall the best bet is loose insulationthat requires a couple of holes in every stud bay.
Q:I have to make a boat out of a 10x10 sheet of aluminum foil that can hold as much marbles as possible!
Sealing the roof can be a great choice, but make sure that you do it properly, with air- and vapor-barriers in the proper locations to prevent moisture being caught in the wrong locationsDoing it from scratch, then yes, don't bother with the attic floor insulationIf the attic floor is already insulated and covered with some sort of subfloor, you might as well leave that as is Have an experienced pro help with the plan for heating and ventilation in the attic, for instance making sure that you have return ducting to balance any heat registers added in, and that you have safe levels of ventilation between the attic and rest of houseThe only insulation which will matter to you will be the R30 in the rafters.
Q:A longitudinal standing wave can be created in a long, thin aluminum rod by stroking the rod with very dry fingersThis is often done as a physics demonstration, creating a high-pitched, very annoying whineFrom a wave perspective, the standing wave is equivalent to a sound standing wave in an open-open tubeIn particular, both ends of the rod are anti-nodes.What is the fundamental frequency of a 1.90 m-long aluminum rod?
Go to your local Hardware or big box hardware like Lowe'sThe people who work there can inform you what to get but I know for sure it isn't gonna be pvc.
Q:How would I roast a turkey in the convection oven Do you keep it covered or uincovered?
My favourite Winter dessert has to be a sort appley-spongey-thing that I kind of half invented by accident-ish a few years back(I say invent but when you see the recipe, there was actually not a lot of inventing.) Basically it's a standard sponge mixture, ie 6oz of flour, butter, and sugar, a couple of eggs and bit of milk just for consistency (Cream the sugar and butter, add the flouretc) This sponge mixture is poured over apples that have been stewed in sugar, loads of cinnamon, and a small drop of water, and placed into any sort of a deepish baking dish you haveShove the whole show into the oven at 180 degrees centigrade, for about 45 minutes, or whenever the sponge is cookedEat straight from the oven with custard, in front of the fire while it's bucketing rain outside! Savage!
Q:I have two set of pots and pans one is heavy gauge and the other is aluminumI was wondering what one is better.
babies need one more layer than you doif you need to be in a shirt, then he needs a sweater (or thin blanket)remember that the temperature inside a womb is so high an egg can be cooked in there!!!! imagine being used to that heat and feeling comfortable then being almost naked all coldits like you moving from mexico to alaska and wearing the same clothes.
