Q: Can Chinese carbon wheels perform as good as American ccarbon like zipp, sram etc. I hear Chinese carbon has quality wheels depending who you buy it from.
I okorder ,
Q: I saw in a commercial a bike with three wheels, a single wheel in the front and two wheels in the rear, but the two rear wheels were at an angle. The tops of the rear wheels were close together and the bottom of the wheels were far apart. I hope this makes sense. Where can I get such a bike or at least get a picture of one? Thanks.
Three wheeled bikes are called Adult bikes. They are wonderful and very popular in states with lots of seniors such as south Florida. We have even seen them with small motors. Most bike shops will order one for you. Check out any local shop.
Q: Hi I am going to buy a dodge charger and I want to buy the all wheel drive oneAnd I want to know the difference between 4 wheel and all wheeland which one is betterI live in reno nevada and around december through around march is gets kinda snowy not that much maybe about 3 inches and the roads and they get icy and slipperyIn my case would 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive be better
THE DIFFERENCE IN 4-WHEEL AND ALL WHEEL IS: 4 WHEEL USUALLY REQUIRES YOU TO SELECT A POWER SPLIT WITH YOU TRANSMISSION BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REAR TIRES WHEREAS ALL WHEEL DOES IT AUTOMATICALLY. IN 4 WHEEL YOU GENERALLY USE 2 DRIVE WHEELS POWERED BY THE TRANS. TO ENGAGE THE OTHER WHEELS TO MAKE THEM PULL YOU NEED TO SPLIT THE POWER FROM THE TRANS. WITH A TRANSFER CASE. IN ALL WHEEL THERE IS A CENTER DIFFERENTIAL THAT AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGES THE OTHER WHEELS THAT AREN'T PULLING IF THE WHEELS START TO SLIP (AS ON SNOW OR ICE OR EVEN WET ROADS) I WOULD SAY THAT ALL WHEEL DRIVE WOULD WORK BEST FOR YOU DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY MOVES THE POWER FROM WHEEL TO WHEEL IF THERE IS SLIPPING AND SLIDING. IN 4 WHEEL YOU WOULD NEED TO ENGAGE THE OTHER WHEELS MANUALLY.
Q: Why do many high end bikes have more spokes in the rear wheel than in the front? I understand that the rear wheel supports more weight and it drives the bike. However when you brake hard weight shifts forward and most of the braking torque is thru the front wheel. I‘d think the front wheel should be as least as strong as the rear? Am I missing something?
You are correct that weight is shifted forward during breaking but it is due to momentum. When breaking the rear wheel is taking most of the force as it tries to slow the momentum of the entire bike and rider.
Q: which is better a kicking wheel or electric pottery wheel
An electric wheel will give you a more controlled rate of speed and it is possible to have a kick wheel with a motor accessory. My favorite clay is called 'Danish White With Sand' from Laguna? clay. It is consistently smooth and easy on the hands. A high fire clay - cone 10
Q: When hes running on his wheel, he apparantly goes a little to fast and when he tries to slow down the wheel is still spinning, so he goes spinning around with the wheel till he is flung out onto the floor. He apparently doesnt learn, and gets right back up to run again.
I had a hamster who did this. I guess its alright. She went on to live for 3 years. I did not attempt to remove the wheel. They just have these little quirks.
Q: What is the difference between front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and four wheel drive? Which kind of drive do most cars today use?
Rear wheel drive is where your rear wheels move your vehicle. Front wheel drive is where your front wheels move your vehicle. 4Wheel drive is where all four wheels move your vehicle. Which is better depends on the driver. There are arguments either way. The best way to determine for yourself is to test drive them. I'm happy with rear wheel drive, though tests have shown front wheel drive to be safer. If your tires are in good condition and not the problem you can still look into better tires that help prevent skiding. Here is pedia's technical description and link below: Front-wheel drive is the most common form of engine/transmission layout used in modern passenger cars, where the engine drives the front wheels. Most front-wheel drive vehicles today feature transverse engine mounting, where as in past decades engines were mostly positioned longitudinally instead. Rear-wheel drive was the traditional standard and is still widely used in luxury cars, most sport cars, and trucks. Four-wheel drive is also sometimes used. The vast majority of rear wheel drive vehicles use a longitudinally-mounted engine in the front of the vehicle, driving the rear wheels via a driveshaft linked via a differential between the rear axles. Some FR layout vehicles place the transmission at the rear, though most attach it to the engine at the front. Rear wheel drive has fallen out of favor in passenger cars since the 1980s[citation needed], due in part to higher manufacturing costs, and that front wheel drive is safer to drive[1], and that it performs better on slippery roads.[2][3] However, some automobile brands, including Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche continue to use rear wheel drive platforms. Rear wheel drive (or all-wheel drive) is still the preferred choice for high performance automobiles.[4]
Q: If a wheel is 4 times bigger than its original size, would the effort to rotate the (4x) larger wheel be 4 times greater than the effort to rotate the original sized wheel? i‘ve been trying to look for an answer for this question for a while and i got nothing.
TIf a wheel is 4 times bigger than its original size, would the effort to rotate the (4x) larger wheel be 4 times greater than the effort to rotate the original sized wheel? i've been trying to look for an answer for this question for a while and i got nothing. Torque makes a wheel rotate. Torque moment of inertia * angular acceleration Moment of inertia for a wheel ? * mass * radius^2 Angular acceleration Torque ÷ (? * mass * radius^2) Angular acceleration Torque ÷ (? * mass * radius^2) Torque Angular acceleration * (? * mass * radius^2) Torque Angular acceleration * ? * mass * (radius^2) So the torque needed to accelerate a wheel 4 times bigger than its original size is 16 (4^2) times bigger than the torque needed to accelerate the original wheel. If the mass is 4 times bigger, the torque is 4 times bigger I am now retired from 23 years of teaching chemistry and physics and enjoy helping people understand math, chemistry, and physics. If you would like me to answer your questions in the future, request that I be one of your contacts. Then when you post a question, I will receive it via email. Otherwise I just search randomly for a question to answer. Thanks for the opportunity to be of help
Q: Every hedgehog owner that i know of says there hedgehogs would go crazy without their wheel i've tried everything and he simply just wont run on his wheel, i tried pushing him, luring him with treats, everything!!!! is there anything i can do to get him to run!?!?!? im really afraid he might become obese because hes not getting any exercise.
hedgies are nocturnal. He probably won't run on it during the day. Check the wheel in the AM- if there's tons of poop and pee on the wheel then he's using it. They WILL go to the bathroom on their wheel so if you don't find anything then he's probably not. You do have a solid plastic wheel, right? Not a meshed metal where their feet can get stuck?
Q: I have a Crittertail cage and the wheel attaches to the wires of the cage. Its the noisiest wheel EVER. I‘ll end up taking it out during the night and putting it back next morning. Is there such thing as a silent wheel that I can replace? Thank you in advance Hamster owners )
Really good! Her chewing on the bars wont hurt her teeth. The cage is a little to small for a syrian, I would recommend getting cheap tubes that can lead to different things or something. I have mine wrap around the backside of the cage with a little hous in the middle. The other thing is your not supposed to wash it with soap. Just use a little bit of Dish Soap(Unless that's what you meant that you were doing lol) And then rinse thoroughly becuase they don't like the smell of the soap or if some is still there it will agitate their skin. Just a little thing that I do is put toilet paper in there for her to shred and use as bedding.(: I hope that this helps!! Good luck!!
