- There are dmr revolver wheels on dreamcycles .uk for ?100 or just the front wheel for ?55 they come in 24 as you require, i don't know if they are 1.50s but if you can stretch your budget to ?80 then you can get a halo SAS front wheel. If you are not however planning on extreme riding then my advice is to go to your local halfords and they will have some cheap wheels knocking about!
- Q:If a road wheel online says 700c, is there a particular width i need to look out for? Or are road wheels a universal width? because it doesn‘t say: 700 x something
- See the link for everything (and more) that you need to know about wheel and tire sizing. a 700C rim is 622 mm bead seat diameter (700A,B and D are different diameters). Width of the rim varies. In general the tire width should be about 1.5-2X the inner rim width (width between inner surfaces of the rim) . see diagram at the link. The width of the rim recommended varies with the type of use the wheel is intended for. For example racing wheels are narrower (and lighter) than general purpose, touring or tandem wheels of the same (700C) diameter. The tire size recommendations usually reflect the rim width.
- Q:i have recreational skates but its just i want to change the wheels to inline hockey skate wheels. they are size 80mm. i was just wondering are all roller skate wheels the same size as in are they thicker or skinnier??
- most companies make either 72mm or 80mm wheels, a few might still make 76mm or bigger like an 82mm. 2x72 in the back and 2x80 is your ideal hockey set-up, 76mm gives you better stability if you're just doing rec skating, and 82mm would be for speedskating. wheel hardness : up to 78a or X-soft for indoor sport court. 78a - 82a can be used outside but expect quick wear and tear. 82a and up: best for concrete and for heavier skater as Johnathan said though : there is a slight difference between hockey profile wheels and recreational skating ones. It's my understanding the hockey ones are rounder so that it's easier to turn and stop - whereas the rec ones are more square so that they wear more evenly. Brands that I can recommend : Hyper, Labeda.

- All Spitfire wheels are good. I would go with Bones though. Spitfires usually last me 3-4 months before getting badly flatspotted. Bones STFs last me 7-9 months. The size of the wheels won't have any impact on how long they last. The bigger the wheels, the more you have to worry about wheel bite. I ride nothing but 50mms.
