- It looks, from your photos, like the spade connector has slipped off. It's made to slide on with a little bit of force. It might need to be tightened with a pair of pliers before it will slide back on and stay. I wouldn't solder it on, in case you have to replace the thermostat at a later date. If you have to replace the connector, you'll need a high-heat spade connector, of the same size, and a crimper to attach it to the wire.
- Q: I want to connect my case fans in parallel coz my mobo has 1 3 pin connector . I can connect the y split molex connectors of each fan so that they are in parallel , but my psu doesnot have any 3 pin connector or molex connector to finally connect the fans ??? Any solution ???

- Q: I have a Panasonic Viera Plasma TV with digital out and I'm wanting to be able to use the digital out from the tv to an external speaker system (amp or soundbar, etc.).I'm confused as to the type of connectors the tv and external speakers would take. I've heard terms of SPDIF and optical but the manual for both items I've researched aren't clear. I know the difference between optical coax and SPDIF. I want to make sure I get the right cable with the correct connectors w/o having to make that extra trip.Thanks everyone!!
- SPDIF is a file format, not the name of the connector. The connectors are coaxial(RCA style)) or optical(fiber optic) both digital connections use the SPDIF format to transfer the digital audio stream. Most soundbars and receivers lately are coming with optical inputs, some with both. The Panasonic plasmas have 1 optical output. Find a soundbar(should be easy) with optical inputs. If you have cable or satellite, use the optical output from that box instead of the TV because it will be a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. TVs only output Dolby Digital 2.0 which is stereo only. Either way, you want to buy an optical audio cable. Hope that helps.

- You can get an adapter wire. I think it is called an ide to sata power adapter. They should be under $5.00. But if your computer does not have a SATA data cable or connector for a data cable then no.

- It is called RCA jacks, they are single RCA jacks on each each. You can find them at most retail store like Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Fry's Electronics and Radio Shack.

- It is always best to use the the one on the power supply. It is more reliable because it connects directly to the card. The connectors bundled with the card are more for contingency on older power supplies that may have none or just one PCIe power connector. That connector tends to be less reliable because there is another connector on the line to the two 4-pin molex connectors.

- a barrel conector just connects two coaxials together. You can either replace the 2 cables with one long cable, or get the barrel at any store, wal-mart, target, best buy, etc. they are cheap and should be less than $3 for one.
