Q: My AC does not work and i am thinking that it might be related to that but i am not sure. I hae recently added a PA system however it seems to working fine and that fuse is not blowing at all. When i replace the fuse it works for a short time before blowing once more! Please Help: If you altered a wiring system to hook up your PA, it could be the problem. Rerouting electricity, even low voltages, is an exact science. However, the warranty on the altered system is most likely voided since aftermarket parts have been installed. Is the proper amp fuse in place in the fuse panel? Without the year, it is difficult to determine exactly what recalls are outstanding. But if you purchased it from a dealer, they should all have been taken care of before you drove away with the car. However, there is no recall based on dash lights, A/C and fuses. There may be multiple service bulletins, but these are not the same and you may be responsible for the fees to correct the problem. A/C: 'Does not work' is kind of vague. Does the air blow at all? If not, it's probably the blower resistor/relay. If the air blows but is warm, you may need a recharge. There could be a leak though, and if that's the case, you'll want a qualified A/C tech do to the repairs. Hyundai is not junk. I have worked with them for almost five years and every make has it's share of recurring problems. The Sonata is one of the top ten imports in this country.

Q: i just replaced my whole hitch on the back end on my ford f150 and i accidently snaged a wire while i was tighting a bolt and crimped the wire. now my turn signals dont work and the ABS lights are on in my dash. i took the hitch off and fixed the wire but the symptons still exist. do i need to have advanced auto parts reset something? or it more serious: once you short out the system (or interupt the circuit like you did the system needs to reset itself, or you go somewhere and have it done, if your turn signals are out and the abs light is on, you damaged something somewhere and you need to find out what and fix it. Grounding a hot wire like you did caused a dead short somewhere.

Q: I have a 2008 Corolla with almost 200k miles and my check engine light has been coming on and off for months. I got the car over two years ago and I have put on about 40k on it. I cant really say how the previous owners treated it because it was bought at an auction.I have noticed symptoms like bad gas mileage, loss of power and a hesitation when hitting the gasI have changed my O2 sensor, cleaned my MAF sensor, pour sea foam in my gas tank and had my throttle body cleaned. I dont know what to do because the light keeps coming back and its two of the same codes. Could it be something as simple as needing a full fuel system cleaning?: No. You won't get a code for a fuel system that needs cleaned. You fix the problem(s) that is triggering the codes, and the problems (they are symptoms BTW) will disappear. Edit: And no, running higher octane gas will NOT clean your system, in fact you could very well run worse. If you people don't get that, the information is out there, educate yourselves. I could care less if you waste your own money, don't waste others money.

Q: on my 2003 dodge caravan. It just came on yesterday. Does anyone know what this means? My brakes are working fine and I had them fixed on last year sometime at Sears. Should I go back to Sears or should I go to where I purchased my van from? I‘ve had the van for almost 3yrs. and it has about 120,000 something miles on it. If you don't have ABS then you don't have that computer. You may have only rear ABS and some folks don't know the difference. The Brake red lite means one of three things. The emergency brake is on, you have lost pressure in half of your braking system or the ABS system has failed. There is a remote chance that you have an electronic failure in the instrument panel that is turning on the lights erroneously. You need a qualified mechanic with experience in ALL antilock brake systems and electronic experience. I don't recommend the dealers because they will replace everything that can possibly cause the problem to make sure they fix it. As you can guess, it will be expensive. Ask friends and relatives about the best mechanic they know. These are your best sources because of their experience in dealing with said mechanic. AZ can scan codes on the ABS only if you have an ABS computer to store them. The system may have lost power thru a fuse even. This is definitely not a fix over the phone problem. Be carefull. Some people will take out the bulbs and charge you a fortune. Get references and when you find the right person, stick with them. It'll save you money and give you peace of mind in the long run. Q: I have a 1992 Dodge Ram D150, which intermittently stalls. The truck will not restart unless the Check Engine light comes on when I turn the key to on. If the Check Engine light does not light, it will only crank. I have traced the problem to be in the ECU/PCM because when it does stall, I press the gelatine insulation inside the ECU with my finger and hear a click behind the Air Filter Housing, which in turn kicks on the fuel rail and I am able to start the truck. I found a new computer unit which was intended to be used on a 93 Dakota (318 5.2L, Auto) and I‘m wondering if this computer will work inside my D150? Also, what other answers for this problem I may need to address. It means you should ask your mechanic to scan the vehicle and tell you what codes are causing the check engine light to come on, and what he recommends to fix it. The only reason they do that is to sell you parts, and the answer you get is only as good as the kid on the counter at the moment.
